Hi guys,

So here is my problem, i haven't used my 3ds in 1 year or so and I wanted to get back into playing some games, but the issue is that when i press the on button, the screen is just black.
I have the sighax and luma but not sure which version, what should i do?

I've tried pressing the select button before the power button but nothing happens

Does the blue led fade off after powering on the 3ds? If so, it means that the boot.firm is missing in the root of your sd card.

It doesn't, the screen is pitch black and the blue led is on. Don't know what to do

try removing everything like sd card or game card and try you could also take battery out and wait 5 mins then try again

I have taken my sd out and the 3ds works now, but when I put insert it again it I go back to the same

Well, I dont know what I did, but the 3ds works now WITH the sd on but there is a message that says that the 3ds cant access the sd card.

Also, what should i do with my version of luma? (I think its the 8.1v

you should update luma to 9.1 version because its not compatible with 11.8 if u updated will explain why maybe so try it
dont take this too badly but maybe be concerned of the sd card that message might mean its corrupted. what make and size is it and where did u buy the card from?

Where do i update luma from? The sd card is a 32gb micro sdhc from samsung, I have no idea where I bought it from.

I have luma 9.1 now, I have no idea how this goes, but is working.

EDIT: Should i do somethng with the 3ds version and the bootstrap version?
