If you use your account on new switch which isnt currently banned nintendo will ban your new unit. Not even sure if you create new account as they may have your ip address if you try to go online. Im banned and fuck nintendo lol

Think you are wrong on that , they ban system not account, so technically you can sign into another switch with the same account ID.

lucky for me i have my NNID unlinked before i got banned in case i get a second switch as for banning a second switch that is untouched that should fall under being illegal especially if you have intent to play fair on your second switch least they can do is put you on watch for X amount of months and if you don't hack your second switch leave you alone i mean there must be ways to prove (in court) if you had an unhacked switch that was banned via IP(which is probably why they don't) some people don't realize others can change

2nd console won't be banned. It's based off of each consoles unique certificate. You're fine.

You cannot transfer from the banned to the new. It's impossible as a connection to Nintendo servers is required of both consoles to initiate the transfer.

You can link your Nintendo account on the new switch. But if it is still linked on the banned console, you will need to unlink the account first. Either do that via logging in on the pc and unlinking, or calling Nintendo support and getting it unlinked.

Good luck.

What do you mean?

Your Nintendo account has your purchases on the eshop. The save data is on your banned console.

System transfer and save data transfers just require the 2 switches be signed in to start the transfer. But since your switch was banned it cannot sign in. Therefore, no ability to transfer save data.

Accept the loses. Save data is stuck on your 1st switch. Everything else is on your account and safe.

Look on the bright side. Now you have 1 for legitimate, no worries online play, and another for all the homebrew and exciting cfw goodness :)

Honestly i was just concerned about my games. I bearly touched my switch after it got banned about 8 months ago. Recreating the save data should be a breeze ;)

Sorry if this was mentioned already but I dont wanna read the other pointless post. You can easily use EdiZon on your banned switch to backup all the save data. Transferring saves to another Switch will require the other Switch to be hackable. Dont worry, you won't get banned if you just use EdiZon on your next switch. Just EdiZon, no other homebrew. I do this all the time with my Switches. I have a Switch with emunand and transfer saves to my 2nd switch (only on purchases games). Months of no ban on my 2nd. Linking NNID from banned to non-banned is simple. You go online to the Nintendo page, login with your NNID, settings, and you'll be able to deactivate but cant do it again until 1 year later. Again, apologies if this was said already

As long as you dont install NSP, use emulators and etc...you'll be fine. I haven't been banned on my main and it's been almost a year since SXOS was released. I got lucky and spoke to a seller on eBay to sell me the Switch alone when it was worth $2,500. He was gonna sell it with a shit ton of games but game selection was ass. Just use pure Atmosphere (not kosmos), transfer only saves of the games you own and you're good. I wouldn't tell anyone this if I got banned. Telling you this because I haven't been banned for months. Usual ban seems to be within 1 month or less as what people report. Dont waste time playing the games from the start

Just start fresh on your new switch and just do whatever you want with your banned one. Nobody here really knows how nintendo tags you or their criteria for a ban so transfering your data to a new switch will be always a risk for another banning.

What if I just ask customer support?

I doubt they will tell you how you were specifically banned
I've been pretty careless and not banned yet. So yeah I stand with nobody really knows 100% how you can avoid a ban.

Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
you've seen how much intel is struggling getting into the gpu market
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and nvidia is already doing ARM
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think they want to take more focus away from their gpus
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah I think Nvidia s future lays in AI GPU acceleration stuff if they can get that going it's going to be super interesting in the long term
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
AI assisted game creation might become a thing
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
At least that's something I think would be pretty cool.

Don some VR glasses and gloves and talk to the computer and paint entire worlds

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Many TBs of assets and the programming of something like that is going to be tough but I think it's something we might see in 20 years maybe sooner
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
before that there was one to generate a fully modeled scene from a 2D image
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but most recently, there was one that actually generates a working unity scene with terrain and textures already set up that you can import right into unity, that's a huge time saver right there

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and using LLMs to generate NPC dialogue and even dynamically generated quests is something i'm sure is already happening

will just take some time for games made using those things to be completed and released
