Will there ever be an open source alternative to unlaunch? I didn't like too many things about unlaunch and uninstalled it from my DSi

I didn't like the pictures and the "improvements" that I can't disable
Open source is always better

I personally don't like that Unlaunch disables the background music of the system menu (sysnand), but I don't know if it is a feature made on purpose, or it is a secondary effect of having Unlaunch installed. Either way I hope it gets fixed in the future.

Yes, in multiple occasions Martin shows his annoyance with it, and this feature is explicitly mentioned in Unlaunch's webpage iirc

The blatantly obvious answer is "if someone makes it (especially given the entrypoint is well documented), sure" - which I personally doubt will happen since for the average developer as well as for the average common man, the effort to fix minor annoyances like the music removal or the atypical controls may not be worth it...

I guess that a polite email won't hurt, though I don't know if it will help either!

Why would anyone do that?
Nobody cares since Unlaunch comes out for an alternative, because its there and the "user" took it for granted.
Nobody cares that Flipnote was over 2-3 years the ONLY exploit solution to hack the DSi and the "user" took it for granted too.And "forget" about the other solutions.
And now, only why the "music" is silent should anyone be interested ?
If i can do such work,i won´t do it.Why ?
Because nobody appreciates it really.
If i had the knowledge to take the music back,i would not do it.Why ? Because of the next "inquiry" is "Can we have the DSi Shop Theme instead of ? Why is it so slow ? When comes the next Update ? Why is my game not work ? See ? No one says "Thank you for your Time and your great work" and MEAN it so.

Look on the Memory Pit Thread. How long it lasts of the first "whining" post ?

Thank you.:)

Literally everyone on the Memory Pit thread was saying thank you to shutterbug and we all appreciate everything that the TWL developers do.

In fact, someone made an entire thread saying thank you to shutterbug: https://gbatemp.net/threads/a-quick-thank-you-to-shutterbug2000.540036/

We're all appreciative of what they do for the community and if you can't see it, that's on you. We don't need to say they are the best person alive in order to mean it
