Hi,

Today I took apart my sister's Wii to clean it up for the first time after 10 years. I cleaned it and replaced thermal pad. However, there's a black screw left alone when I put the Wii back and I have no idea where it should be.

This screw has the same length as of the long screw from the 3 which hold the black plastic guard (2 short and 1 long), anyone here knows where should the screw go?

Is it JIS or triwing?

I remember black screws being used for the front panel, and either for the top wifi antenna or the plastic frames between motherboard shield and optical drive

It's jis type, like the other three which hold black plastic guard where gamecube controller ports are.

When I reassembled the wii, there were 4 screws left before putting the plastic guard back. 2 short and 2 long screws (they are same size/length as pair) but there were only 3 holes. So there was one left.

Maybe I miss a hole somewhere but I have rewatched wii disassemble videos an topic but cant find where this screw should be. Its type only appears at the plastic guard gc port. It's smaller than other black screws you mention above.

Check under the rubber foot in the corner closest to (but not part of) the clock battery cover
Under that rubber foot is a jis type silver screw type, not the leftover type.

Here the image of 4 left screws before I use 3 of them to secure gamecube ports guard
