I'm pretty sure selecting power-off from the SX boot menu turns the Switch completely off even with auto-rcm. Is that not available with other CFWs?

Because some people don't want to burn fuses.
Ok, but isnt that only a thing when updating firmware? Shutting down and powering up doesnt do anything with fuses afaik and my question was, why would you bother with autoRCM only for powering while you dont do it that often and the jig is always with the device from this thread?

Because without autorcm you can accidentally boot into ofw which would then burn fuses. Just one jig failure and your fuses are burnt. Autorcm forces the system to require cfw to prevent that from happening.

No, anyone who wants to not burn fuses has to have AutoRCM, because you boot even just once without RCM and your fuses are burnt.

You literally CANNOT risk booting without RCM, so AutoRCM is required.

Aaah, thx for clearing that up. Didnt know that.

Hey guys... my dongles arrived, and I flashed SX OS Payload.bin, but the thing is... it almost never works instantly, I have to unplug and plug it again, and turn off and on... is this normal?
I got 5 and flashed 2, and they are acting the same way.

How are you using it. When I use it I plug it into my switch first then turn it on. The power led will flash pink when it finishes pushing the payload.

That thing's windows app is messed up. Disabled Driver Sig enforcement and even then it never worked. Had to boot on arch to get it to work...

I can't seem to get fusee-primary.bin to boot with this. It will boot first Atmosphere screen then go to the second Atmosphere boot screen but after that the screen just stays black. It's still in RCM mode. The same payload boots fine from my phone or TegraRcmGUI. Anybody got any theories?

I've had trouble with that payload in general, even booting from my pc. I just use hekate to boot atmosphere now, it autoboots and saves me having to replace the payload between cfw changes. Just follow the sd files/kosmos guide for atmosphere.

I got mine wet and fried it. I don't see any dongles on AliExpress anymore. Where to buy now?

Edit -- I found it on FastTech, and cheap too!

Why do you need one? Rekado works perfectly.

Why you even on this thread?
Not every phone is compatible with it.
Also, small dongle is better and more convenient then Daisy chain from a phone to a switch.
