I have an R4i Gold 3DS Plus and I downloaded some DS Games in there. When I insert and start it in my 3DS, the game first displays a white screen and then a black screen. I also took a screenshot of all my files.
I have about a MILLION (exaggeration, I only have about 5) flashcarts and I have fixed various issues on them, including downloading the kernel software after corruption on the SD card. How big is the SD card? Is the SD card an SDHC type? What class is the SD card (if it says)? I have fixed lots of SD-card related issues on flashcarts like these. The flashcarts are not the same as yours but any r4i flashcarts have a lot of similarities. (except their built-in flash, which is a .nds file, but that doesen't really matter) Anyway, we need more information.Does the white screen happen when you open the flashcart up or can you open the flashcart and then select a game?
If you can't select a game and if you have CFW, follow this:
https://3ds.hacks.guide/troubleshooting#dsi--ds-functionality-is-broken-after-completing-the-guide
If you can enter the flashcart's menu and select a game, then I can't help you.
I don't have a flashcart myself, so someone with a flashcart can help you.
EDIT:Wait, can the games still be zipped?
Try opening Pokemon White, since it is in .nds format.

No, most of my flashcarts like the games on the root.don't you need a folder "games" to store your nds/roms in and then have a r4 kernel file in the root of the micro sd card
Is it the original SD card that came with it or did you upgrade it? Also, have you formatted it?I have a 32 GB SDHC card with a speed of 98 MB / s
It was a SD Card that I bought from another store. I already formatted it before I downloaded my games onto itNo, most of my flashcarts like the games on the root.

Try copying your games to your computer, format the SD card as FAT32, put the firmware on the SD card (link: http://www.r4ids.cn/r4i-download-e.htm), then copy your games back, but put them on the root.It was a SD Card that I bought from another store. Yes, it could maybe be stuck looking for games, but it could also be corrupted firmware; use the link above to get a fresh copy of the latest.but he has his games in the "system" folder not in the root and not in a folder in the root named "games" either, so doesn't that mean the system is hanging looking for the file
I'd be surprised if they did need trimming, 98% of my games on my R4I are not trimmed and are not 8.3 filenames. It's probably the firmware that is crashing it and/or incorrect configuration (eg. games in the wrong spot).Been a while since I've done much on a R4 card. My one comment would be that some of your files are nearing 70 characters in file name length and may need trimming to work. Good luck.
