can the switch accept this micro sd card? its now really cheap on amazom, 65€

I used one until I snapped it in half putting the backplate back on
But yeah no issues

It works great.

SanDisk has been my preferred brand for the Switch. Used a 200GB card. Later got the 400GB one.

Samsung SD cards and Kingston cards always had issues. While this one never.

ok, i got the 400GB version now, because it just costs 65€ ($88) instead of 254€, thanks for the quick answers. :)

Smells like a scam. Better check the capacity

Nevermind its only class 10

what do u mean with scam?
That it could be a fake card.

If it's like this one, it's alright. It's not the fastest one, but still works great on the Switch. And it has had several big discounts recently. As long as Amazon is directly the seller, it should be alright at that price.

Now. If it's this one. It could be a fake card from a third party seller. Since these cards haven't gone below 120 EUR even within big sales.

Once I found out I could play games straight off a USB-C thumbdrive using OS OX I've been using that instead of the SD card. A lot easier, especially when I just want to demo a game and know I won't be playing it more than once or twice.

This is the thumbdrive I've been using:
https://www.sandisk.com/home/mobile-device-storage/ultra-usb-type-c

A local store had a buy-one-get-one-free sale so I picked up a couple.

I still use my 256GB SD card to install games I play frequently though

oh, no its direct from amazon and sandisk, so everything should be legit.^^

Careful, that's not true with flash memory apparently. It is still advised to run the h2testw (google it) to ensure your card is real.

I bought one straight from amazon and sandisk and it turned out to be fake, returned it and got a real one after (same price). I didnt get a chance to look at them side by side, so i didnt notice if there were any obvious differences (physically). i just tested it with h2testw to find out, and a good thing i did.

Got 2, works like a charm! In FAT32 (You MUST use GUIFormat to use it in FAT32)

Testing your card with h2testw now a day is pretty much required with all the fake card going around, even though it is a long test it is worth it.

On Amazon during purchase, they show you who you are buying from "SanDisk" which is a clickable link to the companies Amazon store page. If it's anything other than that, it's almost always fake. (Some resellers are legit, but why take the risk?)

See attachments for examples.

Edit: Not to say you shouldn't test the card. It's always good to know the true capacity of the card before installing it in a device.

This was the one (i always look to make sure its by SanDisk). the first one I bought was fake (from Sandisk), the replacement amazon sent was real. Ever since I read the "horror stories", i always check every card now, no matter where its from. (I'm an Amazon veteran, lol)

It's a sale, but we had it a bit lower before, i think 102, or 98.

Check the seller's name before every purchase.

"By Sandisk" here is only saying the brand, not the seller.

If it indeed was Amazon directly (the seller), well, bad luck.
