I just got a new switch, and I wanna hack it, since I don’t know sh*t, here I am.

Obviously, I want it to be free, or as cheap as possible.
I don’t care getting banned, I don’t like multiplayer, in general.
I only want to launch backups of switch games.
I want to backup saves manually.
Update through the official way.
Stay connected to my Nintendo account.
That’s all.

If someone could suggest me a good tutorial or help me, I would be grateful.

I would refrain from going online when its hacked... Updating games and the system from the nintendo servers will eventually ban you from being able to download updates...

i want i want, what you really want is to read the guides like i did & find out if your Switch is hackable first,if it is then continue reading & you will learn everything from the guides,if you get stuck you can ask for help

Thanks all, i’ll check for the serial number.

So if it is a backup that I try to update, I can be banned, or is it just if my switch is homebrewed?

correction: if you hack your switch and install pirated games or any other NSPs

also bans don't block firm updates
But people have been banned for homebrew, LayeredFS, and error codes

I can understand homebrew being on a case-by-case basis and as long as you aren't using LayeredFS to launch backups, you should be good (I have yet to verify if there were any bans purely through LayeredFS after the first wave), error codes can still ban people as you cannot delete error codes. Creport is only good at preventing new ones from popping up. Anyone stuck with an error code pre-creport is Schrodinger's banned.

Yea, I know there were a few homebrew only bans back in the days when we didn't have custom creport and libnx homebrews still generated error reports. Has there been any reports recently from people who have only used Atmos?

I have a banned switch and have only ever loaded xci's. Never played them online or hacked them in any way.

My Switch hasn't been banned since day 1 of SX OS. I've loaded all sorts of XCI offline and updated them. I also only used Checkpoint to mod my save data. After the release of emunand, my nand has been kept clean and still playing my games online unlike the other pirates that say "I don't care about online. I just want games".

Self dumped or downloaded XCIs?
Some Games will connect to Nintendos server without you seeing it, so having the ability to connect to the internet while playing xcis without a valid cert ( like pirated games) can lead to bans too. Also there was a bug in the past causing the cfw to crash after a few app launches, which also created an error log, which could be the cause if your ban.

I use homebrew and my self dumped XCIs since sx supports game card certficates and I'm not banned on any of my two switches. But I also loaded creport in SX since I was able to build it, some time before the first atmosphere release, so I had a bit more of a protection. But I'm also prepeared to be banned at any moment.

Reports have been dead for all CFW the past few months. Most would say Nintendo has softened but I think its because the people who care about bans have stopped reporting either because they are already banned or loss of interest (the preliminary data is really all I need, follow-up is just a plus). Then there are the people who just write a short blurb of their situation as opposed to filling out the form which is nice for people who just want a quick glance at someone else's situation but its not something I prefer recording as a lot of things can be revealed when someone fills out the entire form.

I personally didnt care. I have 3 switches and one of them is untouched by homebrew. Just reporting my findings. No. None of my xci's ever crashed. I'm leaning towards a single nsp that I installed last year that might of caused the ban. No worries.
