SX OS 2.6 Beta released: full support for Nintendo Switch firmware 7.x

From Team Xecuter:

This new 2.6 BETA of SX OS adds full support for Nintendo Switch firmware 7.x, including ALL functionality you expect when using our product. We've been pioneering our own unique and proprietary solution for defeating any future firmware protection and we're quite happy with the results so far.

This release is marked as BETA because we changed things drastically under the hood to streamline future firmware updates and some things may inadvertently behave differently.

That does not mean it hasn't been vetted at all, so give it a shot today!

Of course, we haven't been sitting idly behind the scenes either. A lot of our development resources and attention has been dedicated to bringing SX OS to those "unhackable" switches. We are working hard to bring the SX OS experience to all of you who are stuck with an "unhackable" switch. Stay tuned for more news!

So TX pretty much got hold of the tsec_root_key and reused atmosphere exosphere to boot up as it was suspected

It's linked, and on that note, linking to warez sites is considered a big no no according to the rules. As a result, TXs site is a warez site.

TSEC key goes under this.
lol... it's no more a warez site than this one. This site links directly to homebrew that GIVES you all the keys in plain text, except for the magical one needed to encrypt sept. Don't see you crying about that. This site also has all the patches needed for pirating using Atmosphere. There aren't any links to games and such that I'm aware of on the TX site. So... try again. :rofl2:

Or not. That would be super.

I assume you're talking about kezplez/Lockpick.

There's an immense difference between distributing keys and distributing a program that dumps them from a user's console.

Right illegal numbers under DMCA anti circumvention, not because they are copyrighted.

The seeds in sept would also be covered https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/At.../sept/sept-secondary/src/key_derivation.c#L25

Also the anti circumvention signature patches for atmosphere which are hosted here & Kosmos/REINX which are linked here.

So it's kinda hard to infer what the rules are, unless it's TX is bad & everything else is good.

Dumped from your own console, it'd be perfectly legal. Distributing them on the internet, not so much. Funny how the law works on that end, isn't it.

(That said, even there there's a minor case of hypocricy as there are two homebrew that do hardcode console keys that is linked here, but that's kinda off-topic to this thread plus I don't think anyone has written anything publicly about that yet.)

That's like saying CFW is illegal because you can install free games thanks to it. Yea, no.

So, appearently TX just stored the 7.x tsec_root_key as plaintext inside the patcher binary.

Well done boys...

kind of my point. This site has the patches to pirate on Atmosphere, and any other CFW. That's the only purpose of those patches as you can run all the homebrew you want without them. You can't cry about TX being for piracy and think gbatemp has the high ground.

Please do link me those in a PM. Either on Discord or here.
I've taken up the question about SX and the keys to the higher ups, it's beyond my "authority" to decide this.

has nothing to do with warez and illegal stuff. You can call it a coincidence, that it can be used for that.
For example, sigpatches are mainly used to install custom apps (which however also means games with fake tickets).

is it the very key needed to compile sept? With other key provided by lockpick? I only wonder because the homebrew tools already spit out a key called TSEC_KEY...
