Homebrew How could I make a PictoChat chatbot?

My guess on how to get it done is take some source code from an existing chatbot, (i. e. Cleverbot) then port it to the DS, then get it to interface with pictochat, (room d) and then wrap it all up into a .nds file.

Cleverbot is not open source, but they do have an API you could pay for if you like. If it was open source, I doubt it would be easy to port it over as most of their data is gotten from the responses people have given them, and they would likely not give that data out and you would have to train it.

MegaHAL is pretty good. It's dumb as hell but it can be pretty funny.

Cool! since there is a C version, it could be ported to the DS! if only it could interface with pictochat...
