ROM Hack Game cart save. Wanting NSP now. Save conversion?

I have A save of axiom verge that is A cart save. But now I want to install the NSP and use the save on that. Is that possible? Once I install the NSP it doesn't pick up the save file. So I was wonder if their was anything I could do about it.

Everything is saved on the nand, as long as both versions of the game have the same title id then its fine

Seems like they don't have the same id. How can I check that? And it was from A legit cart. But I got the NSP from....somewhere.

Use Checkpoint to check the titleid.

or check the product code, should be printed in the cart like LA-H-XXXXX then search the title id based on that at http://nswdb.com

Yeah I have two different saves in checkpoint. So anything I can do about that? I just want to continue on with my old save.

Not sure if this will work. Maybe someone can chime in to confirm as I have not done this myself!
1. Make backup of both saves in checkpoint.
2. Move saves to computer.
3. Make a backups of your backups.
4. Rename the old save to the same as your NSP save.
5. Put edited save on sdcard
6. Restore edited save in checkpoint
7. I’m not responsible if you loose your save. If you keep an untouched copy you will always be able to restore it.

Location of saves on sdcard
sdmc:/switch/Checkpoint/saves

Again normally it's fine as long as the title id matches
