EdiZon version 3.0.0 released

edizon.jpg

@WerWolv has released a new version of his homebrew save manager/editor tool, which now supports interfacing itself with Atmosphère's dmnt:cht system module to act as a code manager (as previously discussed) as well as several other features. Some of the most important ones are a full-blown RAM editor, improvements to the save uploading functionality and a new auto updater.

Focusing on the last point, the new updater is now able to also update configuration files, scripts and cheats, however it should be noted that due to internal changes you will have to install this new version of the homebrew app manually: using the built-in update function from previous ones will not work. One last thing worth mentioning is that some of the new features, such as freezing RAM variables via the editor for example, will only work on Atmosphère's latest version due to their reliance on dmnt:cht.

There are also some bug fixes and smaller additions. You can read everything about them as well as more detailed info about the bigger ones in the changelog below:
  • Cheat engine like RAM editor!
  • Freezing of variables in RAM using dmnt:cht. Only works with Atmosphère, not with other CFWs!
  • Cheat management tool for Atmosphère's dmnt:cht. Only works with Atmosphère, not with other CFWs!
  • Reimplemented the auto updater. This is a breaking change! You need to update to this release manually.
    • Now updates configs, scripts AND cheats!
  • Fixed and greatly improved the uploading of save files. You now get a code you can enter on http://edizon.werwolv.net . Thanks A LOT to @Ac_K for all his help!
  • Lots of UI and touch bug fixes
  • Fixed building being impossible except your were me
  • Added progress bars to many long lasting operations

UPDATE: Version 3.0.1 was just released, fixing a few issues as well as some cosmetic changes (new icon, "Edit RAM" got renamed to "Cheats"). The links below have been updated to redirect to the new release as well as the new, official GBAtemp thread.

Sounds like a great release! Thanks! I just built it myself, and had to install switch-portlibs. Thing is... "dkp-pacman -Sl" wasn't even listing switch-portlibs, and I just did a -Syu last night. Can anybody tell me why that is? Makes me wonder what other libraries might be there that I'm not seeing...

I downloaded this version and wanted to activate cheats for Pokemon Let's Go Eevee. But after I booted up the game and entered EdiZon's cheat section, the software crashes. What is happening and how can I fix it?

@WerWolv
Should be hopefully, yeah. Never tried it though ^^"

'speaking of which also wondering that to.
about a specific title "01007EF00011E000" i seen some cheat-codes for it,
but if infinite hearts and stamina can be accomplished.. , then im thinking couldn't
invincibility be done?.. because some of them same codes ported - that also was
on the wii u version as well of BOTW.. because i would really like invincibility to be added as well, im sure some others fans would like that as well.. of course credits
go to the rightful people for them codes..

does anyone by chance how to disable auto enable codes for this dmnt: module other than erasing file(s)?... i mean for the edizon game cheats when after you start your game?..

Yeah you need to edit your system_settings.ini file. There's an instruction in the readme on GitHub

no idea why?, am i'm missing something here?... i have atmosphere 0.8.7 master - 6.2.0 firmware , i copied over
files that was included in the zip on this page :

note: worked fine with this one alone-(1st time loaded, then after keeps crashing? hmm)
#1: https://github.com/XorTroll/emuiibo

note: after putting the *.nro* file in *switch* folder now keeps crashing.
#2: https://github.com/FuryBaguette/AmiiSwap

note: not sure if there needed with one another to even use emuiibo properly?..

is the autoupdater not working? I received the error "An error while downloading the updates has occured." I'm using 90DNS, and tried reinstalling Edizon by directly downloading v3.1.0 from Github.

It should work now again. I was in the process of resetting my server and forgot to setup one of the api urls properly. Sorry about that!

both of which work well in potplayer
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
amd is a bit cheaper though
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Cheaper and they are less stingy with the RAM not a big issue now but I can imagine in a yard or two things might be different
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Year not yard lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Interesting lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1

When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow
