1. The libretro core is still on 0.7.0 and not 0.7.1
2. It was fixed for the Switch standalone frontend, the input handling for libretro is separate(it affected both platforms, because the Switch gyro code was copied directly from the standalone build), so it won't be fixed by updating the mgba core.
It's a super easy fix, just the addition of a minus, I wanted to do pull request but I was always to lazy until you reminded me: https://github.com/libretro/mgba/pull/137
You're the best. Thanks a lot. I'll compile it with the fix (if I figure out how) once I get home.

Heya loving this port, just wanted to point out that there seems to be some sort of problem with the dithering option on PCSXReARMed. I've tried every combination of turning it on and off and restarting but it just seems to do nothing, whereas the PC core's dithering option works the instant you toggle the option. I've included a pic of both the PC version and the switch version running Symphony of the Night to highlight the issue. Cheers!

Hi guys. So has anyone figured out an efficient way of dealing with docked mode-handheld mode custom aspect ratios not scaling up in 1.7.6? 1.7.5 was running in 720p in docked mode but ever seince 1.7.6 introduced full 1080p support in docked mode it is messing up my custom set aspect ratios setup for custom overlays. It just keeps the 720p aspect ratios and shrinks the picture to the top left corner of the screen.

Is there a way to force RA to display in 720p in docked mode or a good way of allowing custom aspect ratios to scale up to 1080p automatically?

Thanks everyone!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

So I have been playing for a while on the last version of Retroarch, with very few problems at all. I even set up some nice overlays.

Then the new version came, and now it's impossible to keep a custom scale between docked mode and undocked mode. If I scale an image to fit the overlay in handheld mode, on docked mode it will shrink and move off to the left. If I adjust the image again on the TV and undock it, the image moves to the right.

I believe the reason behind this is the addition of 1080p. I've had no issues with the image moving about before, and my guess is because Retroarch was running at 720p docked and handheld.

When was the last nightly before 1080p was added, does anyone know?

Edit: I got around this using shaders that have console specific borders.
Hi could you please explain with more detail what you did to fix this issue with console specific borders? It is doing my head in hahaha

Thanks so much!

Hi guys, I'm currently trying to make MAME or FBAlpha emulation work properly so I can play Metal Slug, so far only Metal Slug 2 worked, I have a neogeo.zip file in my bios folder and my roms in zip files, RetroArch crashes when starting other Metal Slug games, I think i'm doing something wrong with the setup of the emulator but I really don't know what, any help would be quite welcome :3

Eh, I'll try this out but I just sat up RetroArch on my PC and I have the exact same issue, so it doesn't seem to be switch related :/

neogeo.zip and neogeocd.zip goes into your NeoGeo ROM FOLDER, not in system folder
Also you need a specific romset for the FBA version you using, I don't recall the details... @ploggy :P

Yea dithering is broken with the updated unai renderer (pc does use peops iirc)
I will look at it the next time I will touch the core, no ETA.

Why is this so tedious? damn, I don't recall stock MAME and stock FBA being so hard to use... :'(

Why hard? Even with standalone emulators specific romsets are needed.
But that's only for the "best compatibility".
You should be able to launch most Arcade roms with either the MAME or FB Alpha core no matter what.
As for neogeo as far as I know most emulators need the BIOS to be in the rom folder.
