How is complicated if using pegaswitch?? so could i use payload from android to switch using atmosphere ?
It'd requires with messing around with some shit. (And I don't know if it'd even work :P)

Yea, there's payload injector applications for android, I think most guides mention them

I have a 3.0.0 updated atmos and heckate and using the Title ID route etc and I can see no improvement in speed.
Still have stuttering on Banjokazooie.
Am I expecting too much or is 3.0.0 an issue regarding extra ram.

I believe the JIT patches need 4.x or above.

So whats the solution for 3.0.0? am I now stuffed due to sticking to 3.0.0?
I think your solution would be to:
  • Make a NAND dump of your 3.0.0 firmware.
  • Update used Choidujour to either 6.2.0 or to the latest 7.0.1, latest firmware you want comes up to preference since I think so far no games require 7.X
  • Once Choidujour is updated, keep AutoRCM on at all times, and install Atmosphere through Kosmos, latest Atmosphere should have a way to fully power off the Switch so that AutoRCM doesn't boot up again when you power off through Horizon OS.
  • By updating with Choidujour, you can still flash back your 3.0.0 firmware when needed, since Choi doesn't blow the fuses from subsequent firmwares.
Simply remember to keep AutoRCM on with Choidujour alongside Atmosphere (Kosmos package), and you shall be good.

yes. It's just not possible.
Ah Ok. Thanks for replying. So whats the best thing to do ?
I remember a while back it being noted to stay on 3.0.0 is that not relevant now?
Do I go up in firmware to get this or should I stick to where I am/

Thanks that what I will do.
What happens if AutoRCM buggers up

AutoRCM should never bugger up.
As long as you turn off properly the console in RCM mode, you should be good.
Only issue you might come across is if you leave AutoRCM on, and the console reboots into RCM mode automatically (this is a side effect of AutoRCM).
That could drain up battery if you are not aware, and charging the console back up with a discharged AutoRCM console could take a while, but thankfully latest Atmosphere added an option to fully power off the console without the need of booting back into RCM with a payload (I believe).

Hey guys, sorry if this is a stupid question. I searched and couldn't find anything on it on GBATemp or on Google for that matter.
Is it possible to emulate Cave SH3 games on the Nintendo Switch using RetroArch or MAME? I'm looking to run some of the cave shmups on my Switch for practice and portability if it's at all possible.

As far as I know, the inaccuracies when it comes to chip timings and clock cycles make it so that these games ran totally different in arcades than on MAME or even the console ports. Guess it's a waiting game at this point :) Thanks

A question.

Now that my sd card doesn't have anymore space, can I use an external sd card with all the roms? Like loading xci backups from an external sd card with a card reader.

I saw it got fixed on v0.7.1 but it's still not fixed in the retroarch nightlys. Would you know how to compile the mgba core with the latest fix?
1. The libretro core is still on 0.7.0 and not 0.7.1
2. It was fixed for the Switch standalone frontend, the input handling for libretro is separate(it affected both platforms, because the Switch gyro code was copied directly from the standalone build), so it won't be fixed by updating the mgba core.
It's a super easy fix, just the addition of a minus. I wanted to do pull request after endrift confirmed my suspiciouns on what's wrong by fixing it, but I was always to lazy until you reminded me: https://github.com/libretro/mgba/pull/137
