NSP - most updates and dlc are in nsp as well

1) exfat for making a nand backup then fat32 (format with guiformat) for everyday use
2) any high speed trusted reliable card brand (samsung for instance) and buy from a reputable seller
3) Any trusted reliable seller. Mine came with a little keyring attached and works fine so maybe look for that one?

Thank you very much for your answers. I saw one with a keyring... I'll take it! Thank you again!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Another question: my switch is still "original" with firmware 7.0.0. can I safely update it to the latest version before I begin to hack it? Or should i leave it to 7.0.0? I read that latest versions of Kosmos work better with 7.0.1 but I am not sure... Also I don't understand if 7.0.1 is the latest version or there are newer versions... So my question is... can I connect the switch to internet and let it update normally or do I have to follow some special instructions?

Thanks in advance!

awesome then, what is the recommended method to install goldleaf or tinfoil?
Goldleaf is under active development, tinfoil is old. I thought you use SX OS because you were talking about .xci files. Only SX OS supports .xci games. All other CFW only supports .nsp games.

Got a question about something I can't get my head around:

So I finally updated from 6.0 to 6.2 using ChodujourNX. And I updated my Reinx on the SD card and the payload I sent.

I also put goldleaf on my SD card to use instead of tinfoil.

-Updating to 6.2 went fine.
-Updating Reinx went fine.
-Using goldleaf to install 2 NSP games went fine.

But one thing didn't go fine:
I also tried using goldleaf to install the latest update for SSBU.
First time I did this the progress bar went ahead but it crashed the switch like 1/4 into the progress.
After that I tried it another 2-3 times. And it always crashed the switch instantly after I started to install the update nsp.
After that I could still launch SSBU, so it didn't corrupt the base game

So I thought why not try my old tinfoil. And you know what it worked fine to install the update.

What could cause goldleaf to fail?

Is it because I installed the base game using tinfoil a few months back. And now tried to install the update using goldleaf? Aren't you allowed to do that?

Any clarification would be welcome.
