Homebrew Suggestion PSA: Only New Tinfoil currently works for 7.0

XCI converts are junk NSP's, and are unsigned. You enter the konami code to enable unsigned code execution.

Well multiple people including that kinky guy up there have said real tinfoil works, and now one or two have said it doesn't, so fuck knows, this place is a shitshow as ever. I'm sure it'll be sorted before I need to update to 7.x

Finally got passed the keys.txt error messages

Now I cant install any nsp

Nevermind it worked with an eshop game

i can confirm it work with fs+es patch, es patch only not working with old tinfoil+goldleaf
i am on 7.0.1

Gold leaf USB install works on 0.3.

Atmos WILL crash, but the game installs and plays just fine.

edit: Doesn't always crash at the end.

Word on the street is that there may have been an error in the exfat patch, getting fixed.

Can anyone test real tinfoil to see if usb install works? Install from sd card won't until the app gets updated, but would be nice to know if usb install works on 7.x already, like it does in goldleaf 0.3

Oh, great news if tinfoil usb works.

FWIW, DZ crashed my Switch last time I tried a usb install (I'm on 6.2, not 7.x). I don't know if that was because it was from a google file stream, or because of a python issue (or something else). It seems pyusb is quite flakey on Mac - according to the googles it's not just me - so every usb install I've tried that uses python on the computer end will give me issues at least some of the time. I wish there were more non-python options, but aluminumfoil with tinfoil has been solid as a rock for me.

Haven't found a working Dev Menu yet for 7.0.1, this app installs games but i can't install DLC. Specifically testing Cave Story DLC. Error is "Failed to read NSP metadata"

There is no Cave Story dlc. There is a patch and nothing else. Patch and game install just fine on Dev Menu 6.x.

Sorry you're correct it's an update. Is it even possible to fix so that Tinfoil can install these files? I'll keep looking for Dev Menu i have found one labelled devmenu.nsp that didn't work and another devmenu 6x.nsp that also didn't work they just have a spinning icon on home screen.

Tried a game i've not been on before and installed fine. The update for the same game i get a metadata error.

Just want to say in all the confusion with multiple title installers i had no idea you were continuing with this. Love the interface and the install and delete option actually works! Love it, thank you.
