Gateshark Codes On Rosalina

This guide has been rewritten due to Sharkive no longer being a valid method, as Sharkive's functions are now available in Checkpoint (version 3.7.0 and onwards).

Make sure Checkpoint is up to date! (Version Number in Top left corner)

1. Open Checkpoint
2. Select game from list
3. Tap "Cheats" button on lower screen.
4. Using Up/Down dpad buttons to move through the list, and A to select, select the cheats you want to have.
5. Press B when done, then A to save the file.
6. The cheats for your game should now be in Rosalina's cheat list (button combo for Rosalina>cheats)

This guide is up to date as of 02-18-2020, 16:18 (4:18 PM in 12-hour)

I am also having trouble getting method 2 to work. Method 1 works great, but I don't like the idea of having to depend on a remote server to make things work. The instructions seemed very simple.... To be clear, there will be a folder on the root called cheats. Title ID folders within the cheat folder? And the text files within the title ID folders? The text files also need to be named after the title ID? I have tried Shantae and Pilot Wings, Captain Toad and none of them are detecting my cheats.

Hey. So in what format does the Rosalina cheats function take? Like for example, for MK7, it would be, SD Root\cheats\"title ID". txt?

root\luma\titles\TitleID Folder\cheats.txt

example from a USB Drive: K:\luma\titles\0004000E000D5A00\cheats.txt

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

[...]
METHOD/SECTION 2: Manual

1. With 3DS off, insert the Sd/Micro card into the computer/phone (Or use MicroSD Management on New models).

2. Create a folder named "cheats" on the root of your SD/Micro card if it doesn't already exist.

[...]

Please update your post to the correct path for manual cheats: SD Root\luma\titles\[TitleID]\cheats.txt

Thank you, but this still didn't work for me. I have my cheat files organized like so...

E:\luma\titles\00040000000A2C00\cheats.txt
E:\luma\titles\00040000000C2900\cheats.txt

I pull up Rosalina and it says no cheats detected. I have tried 5 different games. :/

Hello, I have problems starting the sharkive(cia) when I wait for it to finish loading my games, it just takes me out of the application.
Anyone knows how to solve this?

Do you know how to solve the sharkive to enter?
because I have the luma3DS with version 9.1 and I tried to enter the sharkive but it always takes me out of the application.

Sharkive/downloading cheats has been integrated with checkpoint. Sharkive I believe has been removed.

Get the newest version of checkpoint, get rid of the old sharkive and use checkpoint instead

Hello! I wonder if Checkpoint only uses US Codes and not EU Codes because I'm from the EU, I use Pokemon X but the codes doesn't work, they crash the game. I have the latest update for Pokemon X (1.5).

Pokemon X's title ID is the same as the US release. What codes are you using specifically? Some codes have indicators in their name that say that they are compatible with the most recent update(v1.5)

Instant Egg Hatch 1.5
Hold L to view IV's and Hold Start to view EV's
No encounter, Hold Start for instant encounters
Walk&Run Speed x2 for D-pad only

Well, there's likely the problem as to why you're crashing

Some of them don't even have 1.5 at the end which means that one or two of them might not be compatible with v1.5

Run through each one, one at a time, that don't have 1.5 at the end of the name and see which ones work and which ones crash the game

When you finish that, don't use the one(s) that crash the game and see if you can't find a 1.5 version of the code or find it yourself through making it.

If all of them work after you have tested them one at a time and you are running luma 10, then it's likely that you're using too many because that's quite a list and luma 10 is known to crash on USUM(and I think sun and moon) when more than two codes are used which you're likely experiencing the same thing with that list

So I tested all of the "1.5" codes (I only created a list of 1 code at the time) and I did not use anything else, the game still crashes. I'm on Luma 10. :(

Ah so yeah, its likely luma 10

Just chainload the latest version of luma 9, should work since the cheat engine on that version is more stable and won't crash when a lot of codes are used

Alright, I used the latest version of Luma 9 from their Github, opened up Checkpoint and created one list with 1 cheat (In this case, the code I used was "Hold R to Walk through walls 1.5") and saved it. I launched my physical copy of Pokemon X and I tried out the code. This time it didn't crash when I pressed the R button, but trying to collide on a wall will crash the game. I don't know what to do now.
Not just that code, it's the same problem with the rest of the 1.5 codes as well.
