What the title says. I have a Switch controller and I would like to play Gamecube games with it.

Thank you for your answers in advance!

It's really new hardware. Not to say it's impossible, but really it's up to the developed to support it. You could go to the project page on GitHub and make a feature request.

Hope that helps.

Switch Pro controller would probably work connected via USB, since it's standard USB HID (with proprietary additions).

For wireless, it's standard Bluetooth HID with proprietary addititions. Nintendont doesn't support any Bluetooth devices other than Wii protocol controllers, e.g. Wii Remote and Wii U Pro Controller.

I meant wired connection. So it's possible then? I'll write to tge GitHub page as @_unknown requested!

Thank you very much everyone! Except @GreyWolf :D

Sorry for this late answer, I made this "controller.ini" file and maybe this can work but I tested it
with a PowerA Switch USB controller and I don't know if it works with a real Pro Controller...
Hello! How do I set this up with Nintendont? Thanks!

Step 1. You need the nintendont files (obviously) on your USB/SD, and you also need the .rar file I posted
Step1.png

Step 2. Copy the file "Switch_wired_controller.ini" to your USB/SD
Step2.png

Step 3. Rename the file to "controller.ini"
Step3.png

Step 4. Enjoy!

Also Im Mexican so that's why some things are in spanish :/

Alternatively you can get a MAGIC-NS dongle which lets you connect most wireless controllers, it also works with Switch, XBox One (as well as XBox 360 if you have a wireless receiver for it), Wii U Pro Controller and PS3/PS4 controllers, and works on PC (in DInput and XInput mode) and Switch as well.

You just put it in the root of the device, doesn't matter if it's Usb or Sd.

Also could you reply if it worked?

Not Kubez, but I tried the file yesterday and it didn't work.
I'm preatty sure that the VID and PID are wrong (VID should be 057e, and PID 2009), but I think that the input value are also wrong.
After changing some value the system recognize some randomic inputs, but it was far from being usable.
If can help I'm using a european WiiU with an Switch pro controller, Xenoblade2 edition

Thanks for your answer! :)
I mentioned before this config was for a PowerA wired controller but I guess I had to be specific, this is the controller.

I guess the real Pro controller has different values than this one.

If you're using Windows, can you open file explorer, go to View and check File Name Extensions? Maybe it was because you renamed it Controller.ini.ini, if not then it must be something else :\

EDIT: Also I don't think you need to press anything to make it work, you just put it in the root of your SD/USB and have the controller connected

Haven't been sure where to ask, this seems as good a place as any. I have two different controllers I'm trying to use with Nintendont on my Wii U, one is a power a switch wired controller, the other is the hori battle pad for the switch, the one that looks like a gamecube controller. I made ini files for them and neither of them work. The hori battle pad actually makes nintendont kinda spaz out. Has anyone got either of these controllers working and know what I'm doing wrong?
