GaryOPA said it's coming really soon, but with the amount of bullshit this guy spills out, I doubt it's true. I mean, what reason would Nintendo have to update? Besides system stability, there's nothing to fix. They tried blocking homebrew but the scene already fixed it.

Very true, I have noticed it pop up in a few places, here reddit, and few others so thought might be some true to it, but nothing concrete so thought I'd ask ^^,

I`m wondering what will happen regarding TSEC with 7.0.

Keys will be changed, fuses will be burnt...

Were we just lucky with 6.2?

Nintendo will release super magical update that will burn RCM mode for good and we will all be screwed.

I heard that AutoRCM was tricky, that if the battery dies it wouldn't boot without a dongle, am I wrong?
If you turn off console properly, it wont be a problem and you need to pay attention a litte bit more. I highly suggest use AutoRCM because maybe in future we can use coldboot exploits for older firmwares. (I mean less burnt e-fuses)

When there is an update, Nintendo servers go down so that they can update them. So if an update is out, servers are "already" update. Also, you would see tweets, youtube videos and actually google results about 7.0.0.
Also, they push the updates on Mondays (usually).

OK, but I have no idea what a "coldboot exploit" is

Oh that's nice! Thanks! ^_^

Coldboot would be where you dont have to do anything for your console to have CFW. Take for instance... a PSP back in the day. Once its hacked you could just turn it off and on no problem.

Switch needs a rcm jig and something to push a payload to it, this makes it not a coldboot.

Switch exploit is a coldboot. Its in the name itself Fusee Gelee which translates to frozen rocket which is sending payloads (rockets) during coldboot (frozen). RCM is triggered before the console actually turns aka the main OS (Horizon). Its definitely not a warmboot exploit.

Thats untethered coldboot. A coldboot exploit is an exploit thats done during a coldboot :P. FG is a coldboot exploit
