GOOGLE!
Thank you so much for your useful answer. I did a simple Google search before asking, and found out on the official Nintendo website that the latest version was 6.2. However, Nintendo could very well drop the update and then update the informations on its website tomorrow.
Hi everyone,
I would like to know, is OFW 7.0 out? I read it was coming very soon.
Can I safely update my Switch to 6.2 right now or will I cry when it reboots on 7.0?
That's true. Thanks!News would have reached reddit, resetera and the googlemobile driving around taking pictures! AND MORE!
Better is not to update, but if you care about support with services good luck
I'm on 4.1 right now, and I would like to update to 6.2 to be able to play new games that might require it before Nintendo drops 7.0.
That's true. Thanks!

Honestly, that shouldn't even be a concern. Disable automatic updates and use 90DNS like a sane person and you won't get updated. Just stay where you are and wait for information from reputable devs.

Use ChoiDujourNX to update straight to 6.2.0 without burning fuses.
If I update using ChoiDujourNX, would I be able to boot into OFW afterwards? I fear getting my console bricked if fuses are checked upon boot. Sorry for my lack of knowledge, I'm a noob

Make sure enable autoRCM, so your fuses wont be burnt from nintendo bootloader. Everytime you updated your console, you need to reapply AutoRCMIf I update using ChoiDujourNX, would I be able to boot into OFW afterwards? I heard that AutoRCM was tricky, that if the battery dies it wouldn't boot without a dongle, am I wrong?Make sure enable autoRCM, so your fuses wont be burnt from nintendo bootloader. Everytime you updated your console, you need to reapply AutoRCM

That doesn't sound like much trouble then, thanks for the infoChoiDujourNX activates autorcm automatically. Also booting in OFW will not brick your console, but it will burn your fuses. Afterwards you wouldn't be able to load any firmware version below your current one with the Nintendo bootloader.
GaryOPA said it's coming really soon, but with the amount of bullshit this guy spills out, I doubt it's true. I mean, what reason would Nintendo have to update? Besides system stability, there's nothing to fix. They tried blocking homebrew but the scene already fixed it.Just curious, I heard 7.0 is coming, I also heard that dev's have had it for a while. I've tried looking but haven't seen any mention of new features or changes, does anyone know of anything this update brings?
Just to be clear, if I update to 6.2 using ChoiDuJourNX that installs autoRCM, what happens if my battery drains completely? Can I still boot my console?
