Do you think it's likely we'll see ever a homebrew that will allow handheld streaming via wifi and or USB-C?
Like we have for 3ds and ps vita?

I am thinking of buying a hardware mod for my switch. But if thinking maybe if i wait a year or 2 it might come anyway...

Hmm I get where you are going with this. But that would mean it would have to be a module that would be always running. Besides running storing, (perhaps even converting) and transferring data. in short it would be a battery hog. At what point is that feasible in a real portable scenario? Only with powerbanks if you really want to stream something substantial.

When I sit at my couch or bed when I want to play the games in handheld? Plug power charger and go!

Ah ok you did not want it to be a on the go solution at all. Ok, sorry for misunderstanding. But yeah that would work.
Well streaming on the go could worktoo. i have a battery pack. but i mean.. who will stream on the go?? Its not like you have wifi at all places.

In NL depending on how you have setup your hotspots ... it could be pretty good. But still constant connections is indeed hard. But with 5G coming in roughly 2022 ... with better coverage etc. Who knows ;)

5G.. now even more bad for your health!! Anyway does the switch even support 3g/5g?
I assume the data would be brutal. You'd spend your mobile contract in a few hours.
