I'm going to try it in the morning as soon as I get up.i think i got a fix but you have todo a fresh install first
You loose the Permissions after a restart of the System. The Permission Everyone (with Full Access) is getting deleted from the folder "1e4cf179............" You cant pevent that from happening, but you can simply edit the other Permissions right after installaing and starting Retroarch for the first time before a reboot. Simply rightclick the folder "1e4cf179............" in Windows Explorer and select properties, security, edit, and change every listed user and group to full access. I hope im writing this right, because im writing this from memory and dont have access to my pc at the moment.
someone sent me this on youtube and it seems to be working
did you move the dc folder to system in root then move bios into the folder?Any way to emulate dreamcast at the moment? In datasheet from dominater01 are info about some firmware issues. Maybe someone was able to run this emulator ? In my case redrem drops me back to retroarch after booting game.
After first launch of the redrem, the dc folder was created automatically (in localstate->system) Then i move dc.bios and dc.flash to this folder. Maybe there is to many bios files there... Please check my attachment. Or the name of the bios file must be changed.did you move the dc folder to system in root then move bios into the folder?

Too bad. So we must wait till devs figure out something about this problems.Redream doesnt work just bounces me back to the XMB UI. + Redream is a OGL Rendering Core so it wouldnt work anyway on Xbox (DX11 only)
I think they something about using ANGLE? converts OPGL to DX11 iirc.Too bad. So we must wait till devs figure out something about this problems.
i didnt compile this current build (97 working cores) ploggy did so idk if he compiled as a game or notHi, I've been testing the different emulators and I can confirm that dreamcast core is broken. I had it set it up the same as my PC, with the required bios names inside the corresponding directory, and it doesn't load any roms. Same thing with the saturn one.
One thing I wanted to ask was, when you created the appx, did you compiled ghe code as an xbox game? I'm noticing that in the information menu, it displays available memory as 1/2 gigs, however apps compiled as uwp games should have acces to 5 gigs of ram, 6 cpu cpu cores and full access to GPU resources for directx 11/12.
Also, maybe, if I have the time, I could take a look at the file picker option, to escape from the sandboxed area and have the different directories correctly configured. Anyway, maybe it's not worth the effort since the final build maybe arround the corner.
And yes, iI' new to the forum! Let me know if I can help with anything! Great job so far!
Same...... I didn't know it was possible to compile as an Xbox game?i didnt compile this current build (97 working cores) ploggy did so idk if he compiled as a game or not
but for all the other builds no i have not, not that im aware of anyway all i did was make sure it was set to release instead of debug
Ok, in case you're curious, and since i can't post links, search in google for: uwp available resources xbox. Click on the link that says: "i didnt compile this current build (97 working cores) ploggy did so idk if he compiled as a game or not

Plus it says full GPU with DX12 while Retroarch is DX11 for now..https://blogs.windows.com/buildinga...-windows-platform-games-fall-xbox-one-update/

it doesnt explain how to compile it so more cores work etc
