SXOS 2.2 boots to SXOS menu fine (using SX Pro with valid purchased license)
Boots to emunand and sysnand correctly too.

I replace the SXOS file with the 2.3 , 2.4, 2.5 files and... when I boot it shows 2.5 SXOS menu... great...

but when I try to boot into emunand it just goes black screen.
I also tried updating SXOS via the menu option within the OS. Same result.

I replace the boot file with my 2.2 file... everything works great.

I see people are getting similar symptoms when changing system version or emunand version... but I'm NOT doing that. everything unchanged except replacing the 2.2 version SXOS with any newer release.

Any suggestions?

Not sure if it applies to you, but I had a similar issue where 2.3 worked fine but anything newer black screened. After fussing with it for a bit, just ended up being exFAT. Formatted back to FAT32 and copied emunand back on and 2.3+ worked fine again. I just figured to live with FAT32 since it wasn't having issues.

my emunand is on internal storage. not SD. Can't see how that would solve it.
a bit time consuming but I basically used a save backup tool to backup all my saves.
And then i completely deleted my emunand...
built a new emunand with 2.5 and now it's working ok...
Now I'm slowly loading all my xci files and nsp's back on.

try it more times.
I got a new SD Card tried it and I got a black screen.
Then I tried the old, that worked.
Then again the new one and then everything worked.
WHY? Dont ask me, ask Team Xecuter!!

Didn't say anything of the sort, just explained what my issue was and how it was resolved. Was on exfat with 2.3 and everything worked fine. Console would black screen/shut down with anything 2.4-2.5. Tried everything from creating new emunands and such, but my guess was it was more of an early sysNAND (like 3.0) and maybe some weird offsets? I don't know, but I ended up just formatting to fat32, and copied emunand back on and it booted up like a charm.
