I am having so much trouble trying to convert my Wii U save on PC (.sav) to the Switch version. Is there a step by step guide out there in the wild? I am unsure how to use the the save manager. If someone wouldn't mind helping me out I would really, really appreciate that. Thanks!

The save of switch are stored in the nand, the only "unhack" method is restore a clean nand. So no, the moment you restore the nand you lost the save injected.

Hi. is your switch hacked and can you run Checkpoint homebrew? You'll need it to restore the converted WiiU save version to Switch save version. You can read how to use Checkpoint switch homebrew.

To convert the wiiu to switch save, you can use the link in the first page:
https://github.com/WemI0/BOTW_SaveConv/releases
you can use the .exe file

do both games (wii U and switch) have to be on the same version for the swap to work?
not necessarily, because I tried to restore version 1.1 wiiu to switch (1.5?) and it just works, but probably if you go from higher version to lower version, it might not work.

great, but there is no cheat possibility as it was in the Wii U where you could edit rupees in real time, right?

A couple people have already asked this but no one seems to respond. How do you compile this?
The internet says to use msbuild for sln files, but it errors out with MSB4041.

I am sure this isn't hard, but I'm stuck.

Get Visual Studio Community 2017 and use it to compile in release mode.

You might want to take a look here, after you're done: https://github.com/WemI0/BOTW_SaveConv/issues/1

Doing that (you will need to do it manually) will fix Hero's path too :)

Hello,
I've just bought a brand new Switch, apparently running OFW 3.0.2. Before using it, creating account and connect online, I looking for a way to inject my Wii U Zelda save on it without installing a CFW. Don't want to hack it except for this save...
Hey folks. Is it possible to hack the Switch, get the save from my WiiU and inject on my Switch, unhack it and keep the save and play online etc? thanks

The save of switch are stored in the nand, the only "unhack" method is restore a clean nand. So no, the moment you restore the nand you lost the save injected.

It was apparently impossible but I've found this on other threads here:

"It is possible I did it with hacdiskmount, make sure that when you restore the save you launch the game at least once and play something offline so it'll overwrite just in case, I did this for smash and never got banned as the OFW technically never touched CFW with the clean nand restore"

1) Backup save from hacked switch with Checkpoint
2) Turn airplane mode on normal switch
2.5) Move save file onto other SD card you will use for your normal switch and put that in your switch
3) Boot into CFW with hekate on normal switch with jig, no layeredfs or anything
4) Replace save file on normal switch with one from hacked one with Checkpoint
5) Power off system
6) Turn normal switch back on, turn off airplane mode

What do you think, is it something that can work for my case?
