The answer is probably no, but I also wanted to ask because, well, why not? The reason I thought that it might work is because for some reason I thought that it ran off of it's won server-like stuff and whatever. Or if I get banned from online, does that basically mean that wifi in games don't work?

If my questions don't make sense, please don't get mad, just ask me to clear up some stuff, I'm very confused as well

No bro your switch will say something like system blocked from online but you can play local online on almost anything. I have tried local online with splatoon, mario kart and works good.

Nope. Nintendo bans all online services. Not just their servers

All right then. Thanks for the quick responses. Me and my friend like to play together and I was wondering if it'll be worth the risk of getting banned.

There is no current way to 100% not be banned (other than being offline forever), and you will lose all access to fortnite if you get banned. You won't be able to get past the loading screen. It will say this console has been banned from online services.

Yeah there is a possibility you can still get banned even from local co op.

Youtube works on banned switch .. So maybe is possible but every version would need to be patched and pass the verifications ...

YouTube has a lot less verification steps that makes it easier to be patched out than FortNite. Plus a banned console going online to play a game is just asking for an escalation in ban level. You might risk getting both your accounts banned.

is it possible that in the future nintendo switch can overcome banned and we can play online like 3ds?
i think it'll be very unlikely to see a way to be unbanned. Nintendo improved their security with the release of the switch (6.2.0 and ipatched consoles for a few examples). And the 3ds had a local friend code seed that could be modified to ban or unban yourself, and as far as I know the switch doesnt have one of those, and even if it did we dont have a tool like GodMode9 to modify it. the closest thing to godmode9 that we have is hekate, and even then it isnt a permanent exploit, since you have to boot into rcm and flash hekate in. so if there ever is a way to get unbanned, it may ironically only work when your switch is in cfw like ReiNX or Atmosphere

not necessarily, as long as your switch is clean (in ofw, no nsps installed) then you can play online without issue. just make sure that you reboot first to clear the cfw, and delete any nsps that you used before you reboot (assuming you havent gone online when using cfw). i dont use any nsps other than hbmenu and other smaller ones without save data, so my method may be more difficult in your case

the problem is my switch is banned, cause open the hbmenu with online mode that's the biggest mistake for me. But thanks for the solution i will be careful in the future
