Hacking Question Switch on 4.x but no exfat update?

i have a new switch on 4.0.1 and it is hackable - but it doesn’t have the exfat update. If I click the button in ofw will it update to 6.2 or just add the exfat update? Clearly I don’t want to go to 6.2 yet but I do want to be able to use a large Micro SD card.

It will update to 6.2

You will need to download whatever firmware you want to run and use choidujournx to install it and select exfat. You can use 4.0.1 if you want.

Thanks @smf - I have downloaded choidujournx and the firmware files collection - is it as simple as popping both on the sd card and running choidujournx and flashing the firmware - is it just a checkbox to enable exfat?

Its actually 3.0.0 thats running on the switch. I just want to enable the exfat support without going to 6.2 for now! My kids would want smashbros so I assume I would need to go to 6.0 though (does anyone know what firmware is required for smashbros)

Once you run ChoiDujourNX it will enter RCM mode.

It is that simple. Make sure you uncheck installing AutoRCM if you don't want it.

For Smash Bros., 5.1.0 is required. You can update to that (or 6.1.0) using the same method. If you install AutoRCM too, you can update without burning efuses, which preserves the ability to downgrade later.

Do not update to 6.2.0 until CFW is compatibile.
