this will be a HUGE slap in the face for TX well we still got let's go at least gen 8 is a different story
Now I can sue TX for fake advertisement, cause it is supposed to work on every FW.

If you update, you are even fucked if you don't get banned ...

Why? I mean I am not worry about losing CF, But since I want to play Smash online, I am worry I get banned and end up with neither option to use my Switch.

Well, I assumed you are in this forum for a reason ... but yeah, if you are not worried about ever having CFW again, you can update. Maybe restore a clean NAND before to minimize the chances of being banned.

Have you used CFW before and are you updating via ChoirDujourNX or the Switch Default Software Updater?

Can you even make a NAND backup on 6.2.0?

You can't access CFW if you update. So basically you have a useless banned console locked to OFW (unless you bought games)

So basically wait to see if a solution comes up before risking a banned and get locked up.

Do any of you know of a way to stop the "update is available" notification when opening a newly installed game that comes with a newer firmware?
I just know one day I'm accidentally going to hit the update button lol

Yes. First of all, put it into airplane mode to disable wifi. Next power it off. Hold vol up and vol down and press power and keep all 3 held until you arrive at the system recovery screen. Once you're at this screen, power off again. Once you power back on, the nagging update is available message will be gone, until you next connect to wifi.

I have and my daughter fucked me over by updating my 4.1 switch to 6.1, I haven't use it or done anything ever since.

All I know is this may massively screw over TX (as their business model is... well piracy.)

O O F.

Yep! Some did already.
Well that's something I guess lol.

You can always downgrade via choidujour without nx, but you might always need to boot thru RCM.
I heard it breaks sleepmode if you downgrade with already burnt fuses for the firmware you're downgrading to.

I’ll be impressed if Nintendo have actually done some security right for once.

It was practically a running gag, surprised they didn’t make this new “stability” 7.0.

Will be interesting to see a write up on the new system.
