Sounds like blueMSX is the only retroarch core that supports colecovision. Maybe it hasn't been ported because there's not enough demand, or maybe because there's not enough buttons?

Controller of coleco vision has numeric keypad but this shouldnt be a limit due to touch ability of switch. core runs very well on android devices. maybe, they just "forgot" the core...

Yeah not every core has been ported yet. Maybe a dev will have a crack at it if you show interest, or maybe it won't happen until a dev is interested in it themselves.

You guys could probably contact one of the devs for the Switch version and ask them about including those cores for old computers and such.
Maybe they just forgot about those and all that might be needed is to add the Switch target to them.
Same for some of the Atari cores as well.

I also expect improvements
On popular machines like the snes, the sound crackles is not good, only the video threaded fixes the problem, but the genesis,master system,arcade,pcengine have no such problem, the snes does not require as much power as the psx or n64, the genesis is roughly equivalent to the snes or even the neo geo, no sound problems cracking, only the 16bit snes is not good, the 2 cores, 9x snes, and even the fastest snes9x 2010, does not fix the problem.
Otherwise I'm also waiting for colecovision, which runs on android.

And my biggest regret also, the caligari shader is good, but requires you to enable integer scale, so the image has a slight black band at the top and bottom, too bad caligari doesn't fit properly on the 720p no integer scale.

I have absolutely no sound crackling on android gpdxd, I have lots of video on my system, and no games snes has any problem on my gpdxd without the threaded video, you say that video threaded does not affect the system? well that's not what I see now on zelda link to the past, as far as I know it doesn't use any chips, as konami did for megamen, we're talking about a basic game here, zelda ..., and with the threaded video it's not at all fluid, and jerks every 3 seconds, that's why I wait for the dynarec arm64, to no longer have jerks in the cores without threaded video
The gba emulation requires more resources, I play with an lcdX3 shader and I don't have a video threade, and I play a zelda link to the past, perfectly fluid, but not the snes, so deduction?

Does anyone have a issue where when closing a game by selecting close content retroarch freezes
I have this problem with the playlist, and the favorites, which is why I filled up that when you leave a rom you don't go back to the list of games in the system where you were, you keep saying use the playlist or the favorites, but the guys who give advice here, have they really tested retroarch on their switch? Because it seems weird to me because it makes me crash retroarch every other time, so how is that possible? Since we all have retroarch 1.7.5 nsp

I'm not going to make videos to prove what I'm saying, am I? I've already posted a video 1 page before and shows my system in action, so I'm not talking crap here.

With video threaded, it should be working fine, if you don't use threads all of the resources are being handled by just one processor I think.

      • In case PCSX ReARMed is running too slowly, go to Settings -> Video and enable Threaded Video. Threaded Video can also help with certain demanding shaders. Please note that Threaded Video can tend to introduce some judder to frame pacing which isn’t there with non-threaded video, so for all other cores you might want to leave this off.

Maybe it's not well optimized for the system.

Is a core known to be fast on much less powerful configurations than snes9x, but both have the problem, and of course I didn't test with shaders or even a simple overlay, the problem is not the performance it's constant 60fps, just the sound that cracks

until nintendo establishes one new server and everyone using this connects to it before it can even be updated.
Umm and how do you think Nintendo will tell all the Switch consoles what the new server IP is?
Correct: Through a FW update.
That's one of the reasons why it's never wise to update firmwares too soon.

I see.
All of this information should be included in the issue report as well.
Be sure to make special emphasis that the only problem seems to be the audio crackling, not the performance itself, and that it affects both Snes9x 2010 and Main Snes9x too.

Side question, have you tried with video thread OFF but audio thread ON?

You mean sync audio?
Yes, it is activated.
Try to lower the frequency 48000khz to 22100, also try to lower the quality of the sampler, from normal to low, and even max, nothing corrects this.

Well no options like that on switch or android retroarch 1.7.5 ,there I will eat, then make a video that can be used to understand the problem for sure
