as some of you are aware the new Pokemon games were leaked early this morning, it has come to mods attention on a Popular warez site that Let's go Pikachu is out as well as eevee well LGP is fake AND DANGEROUS it will brick your switch ONLY LET'S GO EEVEE IS LEGIT (for now)

This is correct. There are several brick NSPs floating around, be careful, only use trusted sources of games.

Might want to also add a warning that everyone should make a full backup of the Switch and maybe link to a guide.

Don't think it would matter.. I read that there is a converted .xci version of the bricked "nsp" version. If run, it will bricked the system.

You should be fine but still make sure you have a nand backup/boot files backup

ipatches can only be applied at the time of production, and once written to the chip cannot be modified in any way. FG in no way can be patched.

I backed up my nand before making my emunand, I don't think I've backed up boot files though.

MD5 hash check wont save you, its possible for the brick code to match the hashes. you need to verify the signature.

Also wont save you because the hashes are sha256
