Yes. But it's more akin to unbanning by getting another system.
How will switching the motherboard alone fix a banned certificate? Certificates are stored on the flash memory of the Switch. Not to mention the certificate is generated by Nintendo and put on the Switch when it's manufactured in the factory. So switching the motherboard makes zero sense to me. Can someone elaborate on how switching the motherboard will fix a certificate issue?

Well if you've used SX your NAND isnt clean and could be banned anytime
You say that, but there have been a lot more people using SX OS + XCI offline only that have not been banned, versus those that have been banned. I would dare say the people that have been banned are edge cases, who may have done something more than merely use SX OS + XCI offline.

Those people who are doing "more" that using their switch offline are on the Nintendo list, is not that if they will be banned, the question is when.

Plus I really don't know who here is telling the truth about being banned or not...

...people could just lie about not being banned to get others banned because they are mad...who knows.

Untill we get some real methods and more advanced CFW, having a clean NAND backup + offline CFW is the best option to not get banned.

True, but I'm also noticing people forgetting what they did on their now banned Switch. This provides a skewed images on what actually got them banned. I truly believe using SX OS in combination with only XCI games being played offline (remove internet connection while in CFW) is safe. I am so certain of it, that I haven't even bothered restoring a NAND backup. Ever. I've booted in OFW many times over the past couple of months to download game and firmware updates, and it all goes well. Last time I went online in OFW with one of my non-pirated games was yesterday, and it works no problem.

We're also lying about Chemtrails and the Flat Earth... :O

This is true! I've been using mostly for XCI and not banned. Been months xD

So you only play XCI offline with CFW, and if you want to play online just reboot in OFW without NAND restore?

Each XCI have a certificate of their own so I assume you dump your own cartridges? Using illegal one "could" get you banned since lot's of people are using the same certificate.

Stealth mode... and I did merge my games with their updates on the PC that way I don't have to install anything from the console. I dumped my games without cert because someone told me is a bad idea to have the cert there D:

And NO, I don't play online.... I use OFW to watch YouTube and that's it xD

What's the point to use the OFW just to watch YT...now you can use the app on your CFW.

You are risking a ban for watching YouTube?

Not really, there absolutely NO way for Nintendo to know that I have CFW xD because I don't have anything installed on my Switch, not even updates.

I've been using hacks, emulators, i've even made an emuNAND a while ago (now removed because i didn't really like it) and played tons of .XCI games with SX-OS, and still no ban at all.
All i do is keep my console offline while i'm hacking and when i want to go online i just use nx-dreport to clean error logs, at least, this has been working for at least 6 months now.

You may wanna update to Creport then, nx-dreport is deprecated.

I've been using SX since launch, XCIs offline/stealth (grabbing updates in OFW) + NSPs/homebrew in emunand, going online in OFW regularly, and not banned. Haven't messed with logs.

You don't restore a clean NAND when going online on the OFW?

No, I've never done a NAND restore. It doesn't seem that SXOS leaves any trace behind in OFW that Nintendo is looking for, nor are they looking for the emunand image (which'd be trivially easy to find of course, but then so would autorcm and any number of other things).

The moral seems to be that so long as you don't try to connect online with XCIs, and so long as you don't mess with NSPs/homebrew on sysnand (emunand is of course fine), you're safe. Nintendo is banning people messing with online/eshop/cdn, nothing else.

Additional Comments

I have pretty much done every naughty thing with my Switch. As of today still not banned. I am fully aware a ban will happen someday. One thing I haven't done is play a multiplayer game online as that isn't my thing.
