Misc Can i play online with cfw without private header?

I used sky3ds+ to play games offline without private header because i don't have the device to extract private header.

Recently, I cfw(11.8) my 3ds with frogmine method.

Can i play online with cfw without private header?

If you install the digital version of the game you want to play online then you can (that or converting the .3ds to cia and installing it). Otherwise you'll still need to dump the private header from an original retail copy of the game (cfw helps with that, you can use GodMode9 to dump it)

do i have to get the 3ds from an original copy or can it be any 3ds file when converting 3ds to cia?
after i did convert, are there any extra steps beside installing to play online?

I haven't tested it myself so I do not certainly know if a dumped .3ds works fine or you need an original one, but it never hurts to try. About extra steps, just make sure to take all the precautions to avoid getting banned for having cfw itself, and make sure to be on latest firmware otherwise you won't be able to connect to the servers (also be nice and don't use cheats)

well i just played online from cia, works fine, there are steps that i forgot, but remember to not share anything to nintendo, i did activate spotpass but not share with nintendo also no hacking, fyi restoring save file is okay (i tested already, however the save file is not hacked tho)

I'm not sure if this was for me or not..I asked him/her for a specific reason. If he/she was NOT able to make it work I have about ten private headers I extracted like two years ago for my sky3ds+ and never used. I was prepared to give one away.
