It is all about 'whether a fw burn fuse ' and 'whether going from one fw to another burn new fuses'.

No, two fuses will be burned thanks to 5.0.0 and 6.0.0 doing that deed, not 6.1.0.

Check the answers:

All versions burn fuses. But if you mean new once? I got no idea.

He is saying that updating to 6.1 burn fuses because all versions burn fuses depending of from what version you from. but also said that he don't know if this version burn new fuses. And it is correct even if it is something messy. But yes, this new firmware don't add a new package1 then burn the same fuses as de 6.0 firmware.

Updating from 6.0.1 to 6.1.0 won't burn fuses though

Is this a battle of grammar? The bootloader checks the firmware and the fuse count then burns fuses if necessary. So if your firmware is 6.1 and you have 7 fuses burnt, you won't burn a fuse. But if your firmware is 6.1 and you have 6 fuses burnt, it will burn fuses until it reaches 7. So the answer is yes, it burns fuses like any other update but if your fuse count is already 7, then you won't burn any additional fuses.
