Ok got an issue. So switch on latest firmware, hackable and backed up my nand with henkate. Now following the reinx install guide. After injecting I get the boosette spalsh screen. But afterwards it just seems to boot into the official firmware because I don't see any other folders for homebrew. Tried this multiple times. What am I doing wrong here :/

got all your folders correctly positioned and the 100d folder in titles

Sry a million times
I went full retard
I expected a new icon to be there just like on the wii/wiiu and psvita
but you have to press the album icon
Full retard mode sry

I'm backing up my nand just to prevent any unrecoverable brick (I don't want/plan to downgrade). Is [boot0+boot1+system_partition] enough to recover from a brick? Or should I also need to backup user_partition?

I have heard that sx os has cheats for games, can anyone get it on reinx and I do not want to change my save data or use layered fs.
I watched a video about using cheats and the person went to some cheat menu and had cheats saved there

The problem lies in your micro SD card if Hekate can't find it. If you are absolutely 100% sure its not the SD card, then there may be something wrong with the SD card reader of your console.

Sorry, I forgot to mention. In OFW it displays the SD card though and can read from it. It is only with Hekate and other CFW it doesn't read the SD card.

Your other questions were answered, but number three needs a bit more info. By chance, did you previously have the account you are using connected to another switch? If so that means your account is likely still linked to the other system as the primary, and your current switch is a secondary system. Secondary systems require being online to play your games because it is constantly checking to see if the primary console is playing the same title. This is the "game sharing" Nintendo implemented and it prevents the game from one account running on two systems at the same time.
So if you did have a previous system, the only fix is to unlink your account from the other system

My first Switch was on 5.1.0 I had downloaded all my content removed all networks and left in airplane mode all my content on that switch is playable. After getting my switch from the pawn shop it downloaded 6.0.1 which required me to permanently link my Nintendo acct to that specific switch.(that info was also put in the 6.0.0 update email). Since then Everytime I play (eshop bought game) it does a checking software to see if playable. What I want to do is go to CFW and try to roll back to 6.0.0 if possible

Is it safe to update fw while using SX OS?
Official system updates remove any form of AutoRCM installed as well any exFAT patches not to mention you risk a ban by going online t download the system update.
Hi, folks. I would like to ask a few questions.

I've got a hackable console (let's call it console A) which is on firmware 5.0.1.
I'm getting a console (which is patched), but i'm not sure of the firmware. All I know is that i'm getting console only (no joycons, no charger, nothing).

I've got games (zelda and xenoblade 2, cartridge + online DLCs) on console A.
I understand that I can transfer all those to console B.

So, how do I:
a) transfer from A to B, so that I can hack A (with any of the CFW in this forum)
b) make sure that A and B won't get banned in any way by association or anything.

I intend to hack A for whatever's that hackable (because frankly, I want to edit savegames, etc etc)
B for legit games like splatoon 2, etc, which requires multiplayer.

And frankly, i'm not that cautious enough (as a person), so I just want to separate the devices so that what's supposed to stay legit, stays legit, and the other console that may be banned, even if its banned, stays that way without endangering my nintendo account and the other console.

Doable?
Outside of linking the same Nintendo Account on both consoles, you can perform a System Transfer from A to B so you can transfer all games, saves, and downloaded content from the unpatched console to the patched one.

eMMC raw GPP is comprised of eMMC SYS and USER; USER only stores installed content such as games, saves, and updates/DLC. Of course, you will also need boot0/boot1 to complete the set.

The only other cheat engine is sys-net cheat which involves the use of LayeredFS.

Oh right, CFW only supports SD cards 8 GB and larger. If yours is smaller than 8 GB, it will not work.

So tinfoil seems to crash sometimes while installing a game, this after installing a few games after each other.

Now the question is it shows up as corrupted data. Which you can delete trough software manager. But the size is always realy small. Doesn't a bad install take up more space? And is there a way to clean this probably?

Or am I just seeing things? And if tinfail fails the file is not taking up space or?

Also is the only way to delete a game after install using the software manager of the switch itself? Or is there a way trough tinfoil. didn't see it.

Are you using the latest Tinfoil? Because if so, after XorTroll took over as main developer of Tinfoil, its been somewhat...unstable. If you want a more stable build of Tinfoil, you can try using the pre-compiled one in https://reinx.guide/; its the one I've been using for the longest time. The drawback is that it lacks the newer features such as faster network install, USB support, and built-in NSP verification but it won't crash when installing a game.

The Switch's internal Data Management feature is more than enough to remove any unwanted files. You can also try using checking for corrupted data on your SD card. Tinfoil currently does not have a way to uninstall content.

Thanks for all the help over the day. Same to all the other people who helped me. Finally got it all running at least ;)

Guys, I know I've asked questions on here before, but I have a few more. Since I did not make a NAND backup when I first hacked the switch, and since I haven't run CFW, homebrew, or LayeredFS since 5.1, if I do it now, will I most likely be banned? I haven't been banned (yet, they might get me, lets hope not), which surprises me, since I edited my Splatoon 2 save back in June before the first big ban wave took place. If I make a NAND backup of what I currently have, run CFW and LayeredFS offline & install NSPS, make a NAND backup of that of that, then load to the first NAND backup of what I had, play online, then make a NEW nand backup of that, then load to NAND with NSPS and whatnot, make a backup of that again, and do that vice versa for every time I want to play online or use mods, Tinfoil, RetroArch, etc. Someone earlier this month told me that I'd be banned regardless because when I first hacked, I did not make a clean NAND backup. Guys, please let me know your thoughts on this! I apologize for asking the same questions I asked earlier, but I decided to give you guys more info on my current situation. Thanks if anyone answers in advance!

The thing is a clean hack-free NAND backup just makes it nearly impossible to get banned; not having one doesn't mean you will get banned. The best you can do is perform a factory reset and pray you don't get swept up in a future banwave. Nobody can really sit down and tell you your chances of being banned. After 5 months of collecting information related to bans, I can assure you that they are pretty much random.

Ok, thank you so much again! I think I will do that, but will transfer my data to a friend's switch, factory reset mine, and transfer the data back. Would that work you think? I have a switch online, so maybe not... Or would that give them a chance of getting banned because of me?

So by having [boot0+boot1+system_partition] (without user_partition) I should be able to recover my switch in case of brick, right?

I don't care about losing my saves (I already have them backed up with Edizon) nor I care about downgrading. I'm only interested in recovery my switch in case of brick.

Thank you

If you transfer the hacked save file to the other console, you're going to risk getting that console banned as well. If you remove or have already removed the save file, the system transfer should be safe (not sure if a system transfer also transfers any erroneous error logs stored on the console).

Pretty much. You can always recover the USER partition by performing a system initialize.

Ok. But if I backed up the save file via checkpoint, would nintendo ban me if I inject that save file again? Because Splatoon 2 has no cloud online backup, and Nintendo remembers your data on that game. And since I would be system resetting it, wouldn't injecting the save file again be the same to Nintendo as I would have the same weapons and stuff again even though they wouldn't know I system reset it?
