So id like to know if this is technically possible or not
Thia could be really useful as we should not need to remove sd cards anymore.
Assuming that the switch can transfer data via usb it should work if NXshell or any other file manager app had the option to transfer files via usb.
Or to create a background sysmodule
 
the memloader payload from https://switchtools.sshnuke.net/ allows you to access SD via USB but obviously your Switch needs to be in RCM for that to work, I use it all the time though as my SD card reader is shit and disconnects every 2 minutes
Wait a second but does memloader brick with purple screens???
 
Been using it here for months together with TegraRcmGUI (-> UMS Tool).
Reliable and without any transmission errors.

If anyone is getting failures with this method, check the cable or the usb where you're connecting it. I was getting RC error 13 because of the port, it was 2.0 infront and I moved to a 3.0 in the back and everything is working just great.

Maybe a little bit slow, just 4.2 mb/s max without any bottle necks, idk...
