Homebrew Discussion My switch won’t turn on

I’m asking for help so I’m not and expert with this but I do have an sx pro and I did install rcm and I have homebrew and do I was trying to launch paint as an home brew app and my switch gets and error to restart the device and it shuts off and it won’t turn back on I’ve tried everything the only thing it does is when I put in the dongle all I get is the sx os loading screen and nothing else hopefully you could reply back and give me help because I’m scared as fuck and I don’t wanna have to buy a new switch thank you

Hold power button for 12 seconds to completely turn off.

Leave Switch for a couple of minutes.

Turn back on and put sxpro back in.

Repeat until it turns back on, it will eventually.

when I put in the dongle all I get is the sx os loading screen and nothing else

The crash couldve corrupted the sd card, especially if exfat. Try a fat32 sd card with nothing but boot.dat on it.

Had the same issue. Left it in the toilet for 5min. Came back and everything was ok.

Charge it for 20min or more and it'll work

you are in autorcm, the switch be always on black screen even when it is not fully off
hold power for 12s then try power on with dongle, otherwise hold power for 12s then charge the Switch for an hour or 2 then try again

Wow, i would think leaving it in the toilet would have completely killed it, all that water and such filling the toilet.

It's pretty random so maybe not. The best way to see is to either put a different card in with a fresh copy of boot.dat and your license, or reformat the existing card. You said it's hanging on the SX boot logo, what happens if you hold the volume button while powering on to get into the SX options?
