TX Announces SX OS v2.1 with 'Cheat Engine & Finder'

Plus TX announces a new STABLE v2.0.1 'bugfix' Release!
SXOS21.jpg

Recently, Team-Xecuter has been getting alot of 'hate' over their many SX OS 'releases', some of which were well 'not so perfect' as such, moving forward the team has decided to be like Microsoft to have two branches of SX OS, one a 'stable' release and another for those that love to play around with latest & greatest even if it means 'some issues and headaches' to deal with, so check out below their official announcement and you will notice right away that their 'BETA' branch of SX OS v2.1 contains a game 'cheat engine & finder' system, one of most requested features, of course remember this is currently only in the 'BETA', for those that just want to enjoy their games without problems they also released a 'stable' v2.0.1 release, with thanks to all those that were kind of enough to report feedback from their earlier v2.0 release over the last couple of weeks. :)

We received a lot of feedback after the release of SX OS v2.0.

Today, we are back with *two* new versions of SX OS. Huh? Two new versions? Yes, you read that right.

As of today, we will be distributing two versions of SX OS. One is the "stable" release which has been extensively stress-tested and the other is the optional "beta" version of SX OS which comes with new functionality that needs to go through a thorough acceptation phase before it will be rebranded as the current stable version.

We got a lot of feedback from people who didn't like us bumping the version number of SX OS so often for small fixes, and they are right. 99% of our end-users should not be bothered with small (but important) fixes but would rather enjoy a properly vetted build of SX OS.

With the introduction of the beta channel we hope to address this and introduce new exciting functionality sooner rather than later.

— What's new in SX OS 2.0.1?
  • Stability improvements
  • Introduction of optional beta updates available through OTA updater
— What's new in SX OS v2.1 BETA?

SX OS v2.1 beta introduces our brand new cheat engine and cheat finder. Many people requested a way to cheat in games or aid in finding cheats for games, so it has been high up on the priority list for a while. We're curious to hear your feedback about this initial version of our game cheat addition to SX OS.

As of now we don't have a big library of game cheats available yet, but we hope the community will come up with some cool ones that they will share publicly. Finding cheats and making (reliable) cheat codes for Switch games can be a laborious task and is in certain aspects a bit more involved than finding cheats for, say, a classic gameboy game!

For that reason we have written a small reference guide [HERE] for the aspiring cheat hackers out there detailing the format of our cheat codes, caveats that need to be accounted for, and small tips to bring you up to speed.

— Closing words

Go update your SX OS to v2.0.1 now by downloading the latest version from our website or using the online updater in SX OS itself. If you're feeling adventurous, give the v2.1 beta a shot, which is also available to you through the online updater in SX OS.

That's it for today. Enjoy!

--< Team-Xecuter - Rocking the Switch in 2018 and beyond! >--
Enjoy! -- And remember your 'valued user feedback' for those that are switching over to BETA to cheat away in their games, will be greatly welcome so that the team can improve this new feature with more to come! :)

Why cheat in games? What's the point?

Cheating can enhance the gameplay experience. It can be used to access unused content, hidden areas or just plain alter the gameplay to allow for new experiences. Also, it can sometimes be used to mittigate long grinding sessions.

Eh?

I'm just genuinely curious why people spend money on a game then cheat your way through it.
You really lack the imagination to figure it out? Well i just gave you a few of my reasons and somebody else gave you theirs.

There's a big difference between cheating in single player games and cheating online. The former is playing the game the way you want to and the latter is ruining the game for everybody else.

I'm wondering - Did the sleep mode bug with Horizon 6.0 get fixed yet? It's pretty lame having to close out of my games and re-load them from scratch if I need to enter sleep mode.

"What's the point of having a personal preference on how you play games? Why can't everybody just play the game the way I do?"

I don't like to spend hours grinding in some games. Other games might have mechanics that I don't like. For example weapons breaking in BOTW. etc.
Seriously, this! Some games are too padded with content to artificially inflate playtime. Some have poor mechanics (BoTW has been mentioned about 20 times in this thread). I might like the story and not so much the grindy gameplay. Yes it's probably in your best interest to play the game as intended before deciding to screw with it or you might kill the fun but people have different things they want to get from gaming and the ability to modify things only helps cater to different people

There are plenty of use cases for cheats (offline only - I don't support fucking with other peoples gaming experience) and if you don't want to use them don't. If you want to jump in on a second play through and see how much you can break the game go ahead. Or (not sure how cheats work yet on switch so speculative:) modify an offset so all enemies have 150% health and deal 200% damage. Things like this are great for games that you like but aren't popular enough to get a full custom job from the scene.

Ah snap tried the cheat option. It's not very beginner friendly. And it is only FAT recommended...
Keep waiting till someone post a tutorial or some cheats.

I want to cheat through shining resonance. Just try to grind through the pointless battles to insane boss fights for 5 minutes of story. I just want to finish it.

I'm just wondering...

Why cheat in games? What's the point?

You have (or haven't) paid £40 for a game, only to cheat your way through it. What's the bloody point?
People love to have early advantages and find enjoyment breezing through the game in the fastest/easiest way possible.

Why is everybody talking cheats instead of all the games that stopped working or are crashing with 2.0 (and are working perfectly with 1.9) like:

1. Doom
2. The messenger
3. Xenoblade 2
4. Dark souls
5. Fifa 19
6. Nba 2k19
7. Hyrule warriors
8. Labyrinth of refrain
9. Battle chasers
10. Siberia
11. Okami HD
12. Dead Cells

Are those issues fixed?
