Hacking Need Help with payload injector dongle from ebay

I finally got the payload injector dongle from ebay which took over a month to arrive. It currently launches Hekate - CTCaer mod v3.2. Does anyone know how to update the payload to v4.2 or replace it with ReiNX? Any help is appreciated.

What even is that one? Like manufacturer and stuff? Usually these things have sites where you can download the updated payloads, at least the Atmosphere and R4S ones do. This one? I can't even tell what brand it is

IKR!

From the pics its pretty difficult to tell if the unit is even updateable! With decent dongles around Ive got no idea why they go for the more expensive but crapper looking item.

Yes, 3.2 is not compatible with OFW 6.0

Looking at that... The pinouts look similar to the SAMD21G. The USB is coming from the same side, same area. Serial programming pins look to be on the top though cant see too well.

You need to pull a bin off it using the pads on the back.

See what openOCD has to say about it.

Assuming it is the samd21g board, it looks like it is too much effort to replace the payload based on the webpage: https://github.com/bobc/CC-samd21g/blob/master/BurnBootloader.md

How did you even manage to launch Hekate? If I plug it in nothing happens, even the led is not on.

I first plug to my galaxy s8 to charge for 30s and then I plug to the switch. It does not hold a charge for long.

I`ve marked RESET. Short it to GND twice to enter bootloader mode. Tell me what it says.

It might be a BIN file...

Don`t know if that resistor above is connected to the line or not.

I gave up and just send payload from my s8 if needed.
