So my console got banned from accessing the internet the infamous 2124-4007. Now I have used reinx and have had it crashed on me. I also did not install any nsp's till after the ban. I didn't modify any games or what not just played emulators..

Truth be told, this was something that has been a long time coming. Received my ban last night. No NSP files, just personal backups. Contemplating a new system as I've put too much money into this already.

Yeah I expected this to come soon. Im hoping if I buy a new switch my account isnt banned. I dont want to lose my digital games. From now on though im buying physical games.

Kind of my thoughts too. If this turns out to be the case, then so be it. I knew the risk, just hoping there's an ounce of mercy for my purchases.

Yeah this switch I buy will be non homebrew while the one I have will become a homebrew machine. I will buy the switch second hand as I dont mind doing that, After that though ill probably sell the joy-cons and the dock to make some of my money back.

This might be a stupid question, but how do you tell if you're banned? I accessed RCM a couple times a long time ago and tested an emulator. As far as I can tell I'm not banned. I haven't tried playing online yet, but I can access eshop still.

Well when you connect online it will give you an error if you try accessing anything. If you have stayed offline I reccomend restoring a clean backup before connecting

Your account will be fine. You can just go to Nintendo.com and even look at it.

Everything is to new, better is to not update before hackera examine current fw. I am still not buying SX Pro and mess with nsp's. Maybe switch is examing due to burned fuses during the online log in...? I do not know also how card backups are made like Vita did just riping the content of card, better way is to raw dump cartridge with all partitions on ISO kind form... Same was made on Vita with new format that reselt bigger file same was with Gamecube as i remember all full dumps have ~1.80GB even if game have only 300MB. If someone know how it is done on Switch let me know.

Thank you. You are making me feel a little better after being banned. Im glad to hear digital games will be saved. Do you know if I can transfer through the method on the switch or should I do it through calling nintendo?

With the new way they are having an account shared between several Switch consoles, it doesn't matter if you are banned in one of them. Just log-in in a new console, and start playing there. No more need to transfers, it seems.

Going to try a system transfer as my saves are kind of important. :o

I guess my unit is also banned since I updated my firmware from Horizon :) I dont care. As long as I can still update it by different method

If you're superbanned, I don't think sys trans works. You'd have to get a hackable switch and do a quick Checkpoint move then clean up.

Nothing to difficult and Checkpoint should be entirely undetectable for a simple transfer and then clean operation there after.

@Memoir also I don't think you got banned for your backups, those should for all intents be identical to a genuine cart, but the issue of SX OS running on the sysNAND. Its been becoming a theme that just using the OS is leaving crap all over the sysNAND that Nintendo can find, because more and more we're seeing people banned just for using it.

I'd probably in general recommend to everyone to stop using it if they have a desire to avoid bans, regardless of the use.

That's something that crossed my mind at one point and why I've strayed away from it. Oh wellll

Unfortunately, since its advertised as a tool for piracy, Nintendo would take a rather harsh stance against it, also considering how 'well' they check for the Atmosphere bugs they lift, as an example, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the code is rarely if ever audited and leaves oodles of crap that Nintendo is just becoming better at detecting by REing it.

Fortunately, you don't need to use it to do a probably safe Checkpoint transfer, since Checkpoint needs very little access to work and sneak in your saves.
