Well, considering we are in 2018, a hacker aka Suckerpinch finally he "upgraded" his NES to play SNES. Around 16 minutes, we can see here puts his "SNES" cartridge on to NES Console. Works pretty well the emulation engine.

You never know, you might be able to see a WiiU game on the Wii in near 2050, which probably you can finally play you're WiiU games on you're Wii! Isn't that fantastic!? :D /s

At the speed of "unplayably slow", sure.

That's a hoax/joke. You cannot run SNES games, emulated or not, on a NES.

There's a Raspberry Pi in the middle converting the SNES display into a format the NES can display. It's a NES video player being fed scaled video output from the Pi. There isn't really any emulation happening on the NES. :)

This is essentially the same thing as Steam game streaming. The game isn't really running on the device that's displaying it. It's running on the real hardware.

But why would you want to run Wii U games at 240i - 480p? Wii U's are cheap these days. Just get a Wii U.

that could happen, but instead of 2050, make that 3050. because... nintendo can act butthurt.

I'd just stick to a pc, you can easily find an emulator now a days.

Last I checked Super Mario Galaxy, Sonic Colors, Pokemon Rumble, and Dr. Mario Online RX are wildly different, not sure how you could consider them "the same"... and those are just the first 4 games I thought of.

Actually, it's not a hoax/joke. If you read into his write up, and watch his "making of" video, you'll quickly realize he uses the help of a Raspberry Pi (Or Arduino; can't remember which) to run SNES games on an original NES.

He uses a Raspberry Pi. It essentially does all the emulation on the Pi, then pushes the images to the NES.
