Honestly im happy to change to a different CFW in the future as long as it offers all features that SX does and is easy to use. Ie drag and drop a boot.dat file. That's my opinion on this.

And i like XCI for the sole reason as i dont have to insall them. I can drag and drop them off my sd card as i please. I don't have to worry about having double the space free etc.
If that's worth the price or if you bought it before RajNX/ReiNX, great. For most people, however, it's not worth the price.

You didn't answer my question.
No it came from a game I own and I injected it into every xci file I’ve downloaded so far. Played many hours of pirated games online and still haven’t been banned. I’ve even collected coins for games like Mario tennis and Mario kart

Nintendo objectively has the ability to detect that. The fact that you haven't been banned doesn't mean you can't be banned.

Never said I can’t be banned. I said I believe it’s safer than nsp files. I’ve been waiting to be banned since SX OS came out

The stolen code and the brick code are very real reasons not to use SX OS. However, these things don't matter to me personally.

I don't reckon anything, but again, I do bring up very real concerns. In other words, I don't accept that TX is influencing this poll, but I acknowledge it as a very real possibility. Here are some of the reasons why:
  1. You created your account solely to make this thread.
  2. Your OP reads like an advertisement.
  3. There has been an influx of new and pro-SX users.
  4. The English of the aforementioned users sometimes isn't quite right, even when they're allegedly from English-speaking countries.
  5. We know of similar online tactics, particularly in China.
  6. I've seen some common phrases used by allegedly separate users to describe SX OS or the free alternatives.
  7. As predicted, my comment about a majority of users voting for something other than SX OS, despite it having a plurality of votes, was met with a swift adjustment. <--- I tend to treat something more seriously and less like a conspiracy theory when it has predictability.
  8. We still can't see who voted in the poll.
I fully acknowledge that SX OS might have this high of numbers. GBATemp is full of pirates, and it was only until recently that it was the only way to reliably play backups.

You do raise some valid points but i assure you i am not affiliated with TE at all. I've been a lurker on these forums since the Switch was initially hacked in hopes of a CFW being developed that would allow me to pirate games. That is the only reasons why i lurk these forums! The only! Haha. A long time ago l used to lurk these forums when the original PSP was hacked.

Are you saying my English is bad? Lmao if so that is a first. I don't have time to proof read everything and to ensure my grammar is on point. I'll save that for my work emails :)

I still don't know how to reveal who voted, can you help?

To be fair, you can't even play an NSP online in the first place unless you bought it. The tickets generated to launch these are fake and throw an error code (2124-4035) but I have not seen someone banned due to seeing this error code yet.

I didn’t even know you couldn’t go online with an nsp game. I’ve been waiting to get banned before hopping on the nsp train. There’s so many eshop games I want to play too lol

If you read that, you would understand why playing with an NSP backup is impossible as well as why Lacius said it is objectively possible for Nintendo to track that you injected a certificate into another game and are now flagged for a ban. The reason you are not banned is most likely due to the fact that Nintendo bans in waves.

Then they’re really taking their time with me because I’ve been doing it like this since SXOS launched the ability to inject certs. I’ll give that a read though.

Hs no clues why so many people use SX OS....maybe because they bought the pro license before reiNX and keep using to convince himself that have wasted no money?

Maybe we're satisfied with our purchase and don't need to switch? Stop being an ass

In the whole xci vs nsp debate. Purely from a factual/technical view point (for a noob like me) is this right?:

Xci - place file on SD card and open from there directly with sxos. Therefore can store as many games as your SD card can store

Nsp - you still store source file on SD but have to first install the game onto the switch internal storage. Therefore apart from this extra step (no doubt v easy step) you are also limited by space on switch storage.

Is that right or way off?

Cheers

That is correct. XCI play directly NSP you need to install on your SD card or internal memory. Requiring double the space internally. You can delete the NSP after installation. But you will need it again if you decide to delete the game and need to reinstall it etc. I prefer XCI.

Got it thanks for confirming

How can you say that for most ppl is not worth the price if the poll shows the oposite?
Ignoring the concerns about this poll that I previously posted about, many SX OS users made their purchases before there were free alternatives. Now that there are free alternatives, it's no longer worth the price for most people.

However this is a mobile device as well and us iPhone users kind of need another solution. I can probably pack my one of my Shields to use in a hotel room but if the Switch crashes on an all day road trip the kids are kind of screwed. (Although they do have OFW Switches and phones they could use. Still a bummer when you are in the middle of a game)

Personally waiting to see how DragonInjector pans out and if not maybe one of the other dongles. $40 for a quality solution doesn’t really sound that bad to me but would of course prefer to spend less.
