I would love to see an App that let you manage your Album, to copy individual Screenshots to the SD card

1) a homebrew app capable of rebooting the switch into RCM. Useful to switch between CFW
2) a homebrew app that can take a snapshot of a running game and restore it. For games that don't allow you to save at any point

PrivateShop

I thought about a switch homebrew that given one or more cloud locations it scans for your games and can download and install them.
Many of us have got their games backupped on a cloud serivce or just on their computer/nas.

So here are the various features that I tought.

Features

Supports many cloud services:
Ftp, gdrive, mega, more?

Scans the selected folders for all the available nsp, xci, etc.

Keeps a database of all games, covers*, and infos* gathered from the original eshops in all the possible languages.

When opened will do a quick scan to search only the last added files in the selected folders and updates its own database.

Install: downloads all the nsp for the selected game in the cache and then calls tinfoil to install it.
If xci it just download it.

Supports batch install.

You can search for a title.

Filters

Options

Add sources - can link a cloud service and choose/edit the folders to scan.
Full scan - do an in depth scan of all the folders.
Auto clear cache (enabled by default)
Default drive: internal/external/always ask.
Restore factory settings.
Customizable file paths (nsp/xci and such)

Of course can work on local network only (ftp) or via WAN if you're outside home.
What do you think?
This is only an idea but if someone wants to develop it it will be a killer app!
Of course I will help for the project but I cannot code.

*it will look on your own server before caching them

Would love a working n64 and dreamcast emulator added to RetroNx. Lakka is nice but not a fan of having to double boot and switch out a sd card with fat32 all the time. Quake 2 with openGl would be awesome too!!

Work has been done on the hardware GPU drivers (openGL) but it's still in development. Once they get that figured out (hopefully) then we start seeing playable emulators of the later generations like Dreamcast. N64 already has 2 cores worked on, but they both do non playable framtrates currently.

Dont know If this is possible atm but i really would love to see a hombrew/implementation for other controllers like ps4 or xbox gamepads. It would be awesome to use them with my switch without the need of an external usb adapter (right now you need one Adapter for every gamepad :-()

I was just thinking, is there any homebrew that can display whether pin 10 is shorted? A jig tester of sorts for an eventual online update where you would be sure you would reboot into RCM else fuses burned.

That would be interesting...

I was planning to make this, but as I had no previous homebrew coding experience, I was googling around how to check the Tegra X1 home button status (i.e. pin 10), since it didn't seem to be easily accessible within libnx.

And I stumbled upon this... it's not a homebrew (nro) but rather an RCM payload... but it does the job.
Don't have to restart a thousand times to test jigs (or have to restore an old FW NAND backup, for those who are preserving their fuses)

JigTester RCM Payload
This is a simple RCM-Mode payload to test out if your jig actually works.

Somebody should try to create a solution to stream Xbox games from the console to Switch, similar to how it works on Windows 10 devices.

would love a notes app :p ore if someone could port openoffice ore a write app of some sort.
And also would love to see a web browser as homebrew ^^

Someone has not worked on a drawing / painting tool that takes advantage of the multi-touch properties of touch on the Nintendo Switch.

I like this thread... ok let me picture the scenario;
Superbanned Switch meets vanilla clean and Unhackable (checked serial for now) Switch.

SS ... ah yeah crappy acronym sue me ...
But SS has savedata under a user which I can not transfer to the new Vanilla Unhackable one.

Nintendo would advice; Transfer the user etc ... but yeah ... SS is banned from online.
Sure SS has Checkpoint and backed up saves but how to get those to the Vanilla Unhackable one.
Could we simulate the process through homebrew of being the SOURCE console as Nintendo calls it so we can transfer save data?

Yeah I know I am probably not going to be able to do it ... anytime soon ... but just wondering as this might be something a lot of people run into later.

EDIT: Crazy spin-off idea; would this work from an emulator perhaps?

I'd like some sort of way to post screenies to social media like you can normally do with switch, when not blocking their servers/banned

EDIT: oh and the big one, some way to force/trick it into thinking its in docked mode when in handheld mode
