Hacking I always get this error when i boot up my 3ds

Yes but only the boot.firm i assume i have to use the whole zip file

When you first turn on the n2DSXL, hold (Start) to boot into GodMode9.

Verify that your n2DSXL is acknowledging or reading your SD card. You should see [0:] SDCARD ( ) at the top row.

Edit - Also try navigating into that [0:] directory. See if your files are there.

Okay, I'm really stumped at this point.

Try this. Maybe there's something slightly off about your card format.

You'll need this to familiarize yourself with this software.
  1. Copy everything off your SD card.
  2. Using MiniTool Partition Wizard (free edition) to reformat your card with these settings
    • Delete Partition
    • Initialize to MBR Disk -or- Convert GPT to MBR Disk (if it's in GPT Disk)
    • Rebuild MBR
    • Create a New Partition [ Create as: Primary | File System: FAT32 | Cluster Size: 32 KB ]
  3. Try the test CFW again from my post here. Unzip the archive with either 7-zip or WinRAR.

If that test setup fails, try repeating steps 1-3 on another SD card to rule out the first card as a dud.

***

If that second card also fails, I'll need to look back and study a past thread with someone who might have had a similar problem that you're having. His 3DS was hacked but couldn't boot into HOME Menu due to an improper CTRNAND setup.

Make sure your custom firmware on both your SD card and CTRNAND are up-to-date.

Manually verify the custom firmware files on your CTRNAND are in the correct positions.

[1:] CTRNAND in GodMode9.

1:/
rw/
luma/
payloads/
GodMode9.firm (v1.7.1 - 416.0 KB)
config.bin (32 Byte)
boot.firm (Luma3DS v9.1 - 182.0 KB)
1:/boot.firm
1/luma/config.bin
1/luma/payloads/GodMode9.firm

From another thread with someone who had problems booting his N3DSXL.
Your Luma3DS configuration should look like this: Keep the ARM11 option turned off or not marked like this ( ).

If this is all said and done, you do one more last attempt at CTRTransfer, and it still doesn't work, then I don't know what to tell you. :(
Your issue could be a hardware based, but I can't think of what might be causing it.

Someone else is facing similarly problems in fixing her N3DSXL. Perhaps keep in contact if either of two sort yours out.

What is this "line" you speak of in HOME Menu? Can you provide a picture?

Try renaming your current Nintendo 3DS folder to something else and let your n2DSXL create a new one when going into HOME Menu.

If your n2DSXL still doesn't quite work, do CTRTransfer one more attempt and check again. Continue leaving the ARM11 option unmarked; never mess with it again.

It should work now
Does the same thing happens without an SD card?

I don't know what else could be tried other than downgrading with CTRTransfer and then updating firmware in Recovery Mode, but you already done this before.

When exhausting software recovery options, one should start to suspect that perhaps it's a hardware problem.

If I had to guess what was wrong with your n2DSXL and if the problem happened to be hardware one, your camera would be my best bet.

Edit - Flex cables are very delicate around the hinges.

Big if
If the camera was at fault, most likely a broken flex cable, you would have to do a teardown and replace it. The problem with this assumption is that the n2DSXL does not have a 3D mode unlike the n3DSXL which will behave weird if its camera is bad, so the n2DSXL doesn't utilize the camera at idle??

I don't know if the n2DSXL has a pre-check for when communicating with its accessory parts when booting up. The 3DS family of systems are horrible in that they don't have safety redundancy when there's a hardware issue arises.
  • ie, old 3DS and old 2DS crashes if WiFi module isn't seated correctly
  • n3DSXL boots with black screens and music playing in HOME Menu in a seemingly semi-bricked state
  • not sure what funky hardware issues the n2DSXL has and how they manifest as the model is relatively new, so not as common

I have one last thing to ask. Do you happen to have an NTRboot flashcart inserted in your n2DSXL?

There was one person in another thread who was struggling to boot his n3DSXL after unbricking and updating his custom firmware from A9LH to B9S.
He had a weird issue where his flashcart was preventing him from properly booting into HOME Menu until it was removed from the game slot. Something to do with the flashcart kept in NTRboot mode versus DS mode.
