Sorry I'm not understanding this well. Can someone explain? I think this is similar to FBI and installing cias to the 3ds, is this it but for the switch? Also I'm presuming that this can get you banned?

ok so pretty much you can extract an NSP with hactool and edit the icon and name with this and repack it into an NCA to install with Tinfoil

So can this get you banned? Also homebrew can be installed to the home menu? And will homebrew apps be able to convert to cias? Sorry for all the questions

So I think I understand what this does, but I just need some more explanation.
Can it be used to pack .nros as .ncas so the homebrew can be installed to the home menu? And If it is installed to the home menu, will it go away if the switch is booted into ofw? Because if not, could we just install the homebrew menu to the home menu, then reboot into ofw? (Probably not because that would be insane, but just wishful thinking)

Booting into ofw you wouldn’t be able to use homebrew installed on the home screen because you still need signature patching.
