So just ordered a new Vita and want to hack it. I know I'll have to see what firmware it is on hopefully less than 3.65 so I can run enso. Can someone help me with how to/best approach from stock. I'm waiting for the Vita so want to prepair. Looking for homebrew apps emulators helpful tips. I want to be able to use remote play. Anything about psn account is helpful. Thanks in advance

just follow the guide and you should be fine as for recommendations i suggest you get an sd2vita with a high capacity micro sd card if like to fully load up your vita with games like I do.

I'm assuming the new hencore for 3.65 would be the way to go. If it's fw 3.60 or less should I do original hack and then update hack? Also I need to be pointed in right direction for updates and proper way to update so I don't go past 3.65. I believe I need different update other than the US update. Thanks again for the help just trying to get prepared

Although I disagree with Hayato213's statement about not watching any video guides, he gave the perfect suggestion on which site to visit. That site explains updating to 3.65 via wifi and has it own guide for that and installing h-encore. I used it to update properly and my vita is from Mexico.

About 3.60, you'll have to get some more info on that; I think there is a bug with 3.60 enso, when uninstalling and updating to 3.65 enso.

https://vita.hacks.guide/

Just follow this guide , don't follow any video guide they tend to be outdated, and missing informations.

Traditionally people would recommend a written tutorial over a video tutorial since written tutorial like the vita.hacks.guide would be more updated.

Thanks. Visual guides are not bad for folder setup for example but written is better for me personally when I can see what to do and not going off someone talking who could leave information out.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

So 3.65 enso is better than 3.60 enso

Go with 3.65 if you get 3.65 or lower.

3.60 enso and 3.65 enso. Should both work fine.
If I understand correctly Letmaidie has been released so most if not all games should now become playable on either firmware; as well as most Homebrew.

Alright well I guess I'll do the 3.65 enso if I can. And update for fw if it's lower than 3.65. so I can do it manually ( Japan import so from what I read a us fw update would not be correct fw, as compared of the Japan fw)

Don't worry too much about it. It's all pretty simple to get going compared to any Nintendo system I've dealt with, except maybe DS which was just flashcarts. The most complicated thing with Vita is setting up paths for plugins, but even then no big deal with a proper guide.

Also, if you do end up with 3.68, don't sweat it too much. The pre-enso days weren't all that bad. You still keep the exploit most of the time utilizing sleep mode.

Personally, I'm staying on 3.60 for the time being because I'm old and resistant to change, but most seem to be recommending 3.65 now.

It's brand new never opened so hoohopefu low fw. I've modded before just sounds like get on right fw, follow enso 3.65 guide, and then from there I won't worry about to much. Main goal is to get Vita follow the guides people have suggested and install enso. Then I'll worry about the other stuff. Sd2vita (5) the correct one to get? (For slim?)

I believe sd2vita v5 is still considered the current best revision for any form of Vita. You can get them for pennies from AliExpress or eBay, but if you hate dealing with Chiners, SridentPSV often has stock that he ships from France, which can be quicker while dealing with a known legit source, but he also charges a premium compared to Chinese dealings.

Don't needs to be offensive calling Chinese people Chiners.

Sorry, I've been burned quite a bit lately with fake Winit numbers, false replacement claims, and other deceptive selling practices by Chinese sellers on eBay. This only started happening this year after years of dealing with them. I'm trying out AliExpress currently to see if things go any better.
