Hardware New 3DS XL won't boot

I have a New 3DS XL (2015 model) with Luma3DS CFW installed onto a 64gb SD card that I changed the broken lower LCD on. The console was working perfectly fine with the broken screen, but after changing the screen the blue power LED comes on for a few seconds then turns itself off. I have checked the resistors to make sure they are all ok and I've unplugged and reinserted every ribbon cable in the 3DS but nothing has changed, the console still won't boot. I've looked through many threads on GBATemp but nothing I have found has helped solve the problem.

Is there anything that I could try to get at least a backup of the entire system so that I can restore it to a new system if I have to buy a new console? or is there anything i can do to get the console fully working again?

EDIT: Just tried the broken screen and the bottom of the screen quickly flashes when the console turns off, if that's of any use to anyone

It is 64GB sd. Did you formate it to fat32? Otherwise your 3ds can't read it.

If the led turns of (it just slowly blinks right?), then it can't find boot.firm (or .bin, idk what luma you have) anywhere.

Otherwise, make sure your SD is functional and that your 3ds's sd reader works.
Workaround would be using godmode9_ntr and putting boot.firm/.bin into your NAND.

If the led turns of (it just slowly blinks right?), then it can't find boot.firm (or .bin, idk what luma you have) anywhere. Make sure your SD is functional and that your 3ds's sd reader works.
Workaround would be using godmode9_ntr and putting boot.firm/.bin into your NAND.

Godmode9_ntr is version which you flash to flashcard and it loads godmode9 instead of safeb9sinstaller.

And as I said before, if the blue led lights up and then turns off, it cant find boot.firm/.bin.

And here is the guide. Just rename godmode9_ntr (google godmode9 and you will find it in the .zip) to safeb9sinstallerntr (or how is it called, you'll find out). It is very simple.

I don't believe that anything you have suggested is possible as the system will not switch on regardless of whether an SD card is present or not. It was working with the broken screen and now it doesn't work with either the broken or new screen. Trying to do anything with fashcarts is not currently possible as the system will not switch on.

Wait. Does the led fade off or turn off immediately?
And you can flash the flashcard via other 3ds/ds.

The LED comes on for a second or two then turns off, it doesn't fade away.

If I hold start, select and x ad then try and power it on the light stays on until I let go of the buttons, but nothing comes up on the screens.

Hmm. But you don't hear any poping noise...
Maybe your speakers are broken. If it does not fade off, it is definitely a hardware problem. My only suggestion is to make sure again, that all ribbon cables are securely connected.
Also try disconnectimg the camera (because 3ds will boot without it but won't if it has damaged ribbon cable.)

Which of the three ribbon cables that come out of the hinge is the camera - top, bottom or side?
Also, no I don't hear a popping noise like a lot of other people have said about

yeah, a quick google search shows it's the black one.
Edit: nope, nothing happens when I remove the camera cable.

Since you have no way of determining which of your part(s) in question is causing your N3DSXL not to boot up, you have a high chance of hard bricking your motherboard the more you try troubleshooting with those flex cables.

This is a double edge sword as you can end up with TWO broken N3DSXL.
Do this at your own risk and discretion.

1. Buy a known working replacement N3DSXL unit.
2. Swap their motherboards.
3. If you were successful, backup your saves with JKSM or Checkpoint for safe keeping.

Tbh, I'm only really bothered about one or two Pokemon saves that I've dumped a crap tone of hours into, but it would probably be easier to buy a new console and install Luma CFW.
My only real reason for trying to get the console to work is that it is, after buying a new screen, dual IPS with the yellow Pikachu casing so is worth a fair chunk of money if I can get it to work.

I would assume so as if one or more parts are not being supplied power like they should be then the excess power from the battery could cause other parts to overload.
