Both, but like all batteries it'll eventually lose capacity over time. Although I don't think that realistically that will happen within the useful lifetime of the dongle anyway

I use my andriod phone and keep my cable in my Switch protective case. Brought the dongle as backup just incase my phone died or too lazy. Doubt I will drain the battery often, awesome news though.
The price is pretty cheap its a no brainer lol.

Wow with the $4 coupon aswell. Jigs already cost like $5 your basically paying like $7 for the dongle lol

I always wanted a spare dongle, and was thinking about the DIY trinket projects, but having a separate cable instead of a USB-C connector like the pro REALLY turned me off (and I would NEVER be able to solder one on like some people have).

This thing is just exactly what I was looking for.

Looks nothing like a trinket m0, pcb isn't the same and the size is way off, trinket m0 is tiny in comparison to this

Well, it must be customized to integrate the battery/usb stuff. Which means the actual pcb might not be a trinket but either based off or part of it are.

In other words it's not the same at all, absolutely tonnes of controllers that can do this job as we've seen already, this is just the chinese version basically, someone found a controller that works and costs pennies and made a design.

If anything it's a xecuter clone.

That's not what I meant actually. It can be any controller yeah.

What you people will go through to avoid paying 25 more bucks for sx os and an official dongle. It’s like buying a power a or hori controller and expecting it to be as good as a pro controller.

Official dongle? Jesus christ I didn't realize that SX OS was endorsed by Nintendo now and thus comparable to official controllers.

How absorbed into that petty tribalism do you have to be to think everything is a way for people to avoid buying sx os? Here we have a cheap dongle that can insert any payload.

Let people spend money on what they want and stop being so rude.

With a cr* as a battery. And that decision doesn't seem good, even tho I'm not a techy user.

I have a m0 trinket with A battery I have to hook up and disconnect every time and I wish I had A cr2032 battery with A switch instead..But I could put A switch on my current setup too. but I see no problem with it..maybe it dies every so often but those are the same batteries in nes games that still work to this day..I know my uncles final fantasy 3 snes game still has his saves. The dongle uses very little power and only for A short amount of time.

Also probably is like the trinket as in it might have the same mcu on it..the SAMD21?
