Hacking Is it safe to update to 11.8?

I was just wondering if it's safe to update to 11.8. I updated Luma to 9.1 and it said in the change log it fixed compatibility with 11.8. I am currently on 11.7

Nah. Ninty just finally implemented a way to tell if you play pirated content.

Oh I see. Guess I'll leave the 3ds offline from now on. I never played online anyway. I ahem may or may not play games I havent legally purchased mostly because I am super poor and I'm lucky to buy a new game once every year or so if that. so >.>

Since you do not gain anything from updating and online gaming is basically over for now (because BAN will come and get you now), I would NOT UPDATE.

I very much am a pirate on a few systems I own. Being broke all the time will do that to ya.

Bottom line:
cfw - safe to update, just update your luma to 9.1 first
stock 3ds - hell no, stay on 11.7 and wait for smeahax august 11.

How can i downgrade from 11.8 to 11.7?
My little brother updated it without my permission zzz.
I do have a Nand Backup of 11.6, sadly dont have a 11.7 backup

Why? You can't play online on 11.7 and you ca stay offline on 11.8.
And your only option is CTRTransfer for 11.7 or maybe some homebrew (which I don't know how/if works).

I will probably have to wait for a 11.7 nand Image to be released or just stick to 11.6 after restoring from the backup

I am not a pirate.
So don't say we all are !

Only reason I even hacked the console was because the PKMN bug that made me lose my save by saving in one of cities....the day AFTER the torchic event ended...therefore losing my blazekinite and torchic.

I dump my physical games just so I only have to worry about keeping my SD card in console.

and I regularly backup said saves now just in case it were o ever happen again I wont lose all my progress.

Can you get ban on a cfw 3ds while playing a legit cartridge? I’m on 11.8 and been playing my cartridge of MHGen for the last two days without any problems but I don’t want to get banned.
