Hacking Current best switch firmware to update to?

Why are we talking about downgrading the cartridge slot when one doesn't have to upgrade it in the first place to use 5.1.0?

What's the point of update to 5.1 if I can't play the cartridge games ?! Better update to 3.0.2 ,at least mario odyssey,Zelda are playable (I'm at 2.3)

Lacius doesn't get it. 3.0.2 is just fine for me for now. Most people are doing the .NSP install so cart slot is a moot point. I was told by the Dev that the patch isn't fully tested and the downgrade might not fix the cart slot. (See prior post.) So, I know I can update in the future. I don't know if 5.x back to 3.0 will work so I'll stay in the 3.x range. It's a logical safe thing to do. Just don't burn your fuses. If you have a jig and a way to push a payload the "Easy" update method worked great for me....

Sure, but 3.0.1-3.0.2 Isn't really different. Same fuses. Same limitations. Just you can play a handful more games on 3.0.2 including Xenoblade... So I chose 3.0.2... It is the highest you can go before the cartridge slot update fuse issues.. So it's the best option IMHO. Most functionality. And Xenoblade too...

Same problem here. Can you suggest that I need to update to 3.0.1 via rajkosto method just using manual update from cartridge ?
