Hi,

I’m interested in knowing what the metal in the jig is like? Is it like the cheap paper clip ones out there? Is it likely to damage the joycon rail like I’ve heard of some jigs?

Cheers

I love the quality of it, it's really easy to use and has a small notch on the front which lets you slide it down with your finger. It also has "On" and "Off" writing engraved onto it so you know which way to put it. People have also praised (for the lack of a better word) the shape of the metal, but I don't understand too much of the technical side of it. I just know it's really easy to use. :)

I like it because it has "grooves" for the metal to recess into once it has made contact with the pins so that they are not damaged over time like if you use the 3d printed jigs with the paper clip.

Totally agree. Good build and easy to use.
Love it. And I love the ability to launch custom payloads during the smash screen.

It's a very thin wire and hits the pins Exactly. Slides in with ease. I had a bad quality jig from ebay with thick metal, like from a paper clip, which only worked when I forced it down the rail with violence. Piece of crap compared to the sx pro jig.

What do you mean with this? Do you mean the jig automatically stops no matter how hard you push?

I had a feeling that I didn't explain that right...lol. In the pic, you can see that there are cutouts behind the metal pins, so when they make contact with the points on the rail they recess a bit into the jig. The 3d printed one that I had did not have that so the pins were forced against the rail and that seemed like it would cause damage over time.

those cutouts even extends behind the jig though they are normally covered by the team xecuter sticker.

these are not 3d printed. They are mold injected and that's not cheap to create.

Injection molding is actually cheaper to do when dealing in big quantity. Also much faster they can injection mold then FDM 3d printers can print.

A good example is fidget spinner's they went for 25 dollars for FDM printed one at beginning of fidget craze. Once they were injection molded it eventually drove them to a few dollars. FDM printers just are no match on speed or price when talking about big quantities.

Really someone should start selling jigs of injection molded. On here or ebay it's pretty much guaranteed hit. A lot of profit to be made if someone has right connections.
