I've found a donor game which can run almost all layeredFS backups.
I‘ve tried many NSP to ROMFS games, and all of them works!

All my setup followed: https://github.com/tumGER/SDFilesSwitch/releases
The game is Shining Resonance REFRAIN DEMO.

BUT MK8 and SMO doesn't work currently.
It's just a little bit of my discovery. Hope it helps.

nearly all my nsp 2 romfs games.
xci working list games, which works with other donors.

Mario Tennis - Works
Skyrim - Boots but crashes
Crash Bandicoot - Works
Snipperclips - Works but text is glitched
Splatoon 2 - Doesn't work
Zelda: BOTW - Works (autosaves load automatically!)
Edit: Keep in mind that the demo is in English (at least for me) so the games you load will be in English too. This could be the best donor ATM of Zelda, because autosaves loading work flawlessly. I'm still waiting to have a working donor of FIFA, so if anyone know, quote me!

Zelda BOTW runs on many, many donors since the LayeredFS update which was supposedly only enabled to "support" BOTW-mods (I use Happy Birthdays now due to the huge save-file and even imported my wiiu/cemu saves).

That doesn't rule out that the dev team handpicked that well-known game to showcase a facette of using homebrew, checked which security checks run on its start and disabled/bypassed them.

That means that they could do literally the same for MK8, SMO or any "difficult" game that has no working donor for now, too.
However, I'd like to believe they are keeping it back so that the "community" keeps pushing forward and supports them in their efforts.
Call me crazy, but it made sense in my head.

Yeah, but autosaves didn't load automatically with the donors I tried before. With this game they do load tho

Never had problems with the botw autosaves and first time reading about it, tbh.

I read that lots of times. Autosaves don't load when you die, you have to load them manually

I've read somewhere Super One More Jump apparently seems to work fine as well as a donor game. Perhaps someone can look into that? *cant say i have a 'worked on' switch myself*

That' f'd up. Glad you found a working donor.
To get back to topic:
It's good that we got another, almost universal donor. Only surpassed by Kitten Squad, which plays frickin everything I throw at it (with exception of SMO and MK8, ofc..).

Thank you for sharing the game！

Just a PSA, while we're at it and still dependant on donor-games:
Back up all the SDFiles releases by tomGER and anything that NermaN publishes relating to mod plague.
Donor compatibility can vary from one layeredFS version to another.

Mod plague is great to test many games with many donors fast and without taking the sd card in and out. But it is not necessarily compatible with whatever tomGER regularly releases (the latest and the greates updates by the atmosphere dev team).

I for one cannot run Little Nightmares for the death of me over any donor but Kitten Squad anymore since SDFiles 4.0 ...
Before, the game worked with Pinball FX3, Fallout Shelter etc.

I can see that this might seem like a luxury problem since I could backup my game saves with Checkpoint eveytime I am going to change a game with the donor kitten squad - and recover it again in the same way when wanting to play it again.
But it is such a hastle. Maybe @NermaN or whoever willing to help him could develop some kind of save management system embedded into mod plague that switches the saves with the games.. or sth.

Can't seem to get it running for some reason, but it seems to be on my end.
npdm is patched to target SRR
Folder structure is ../titles/SRR title ID/romfs.bin and ../SRR title ID/exefs

SRR loads, hangs at black screen, then boots normally, while other layeredFS games load fine.
